Draught. Pours a hazy yellow/gold, with a decent thick white head. Aromas and flavours of stonefruit, coconut, wheat and some light banana. Was sweet, but without being over the top.

Keg at the Draft House, London. Light, hazy yellow pour with a fine, white head. Huge, purely tinned peach aroma. Light yeast in the flavor, plenty of sweetness, mild fruity tartness. Light in body with fizzy carbonation. Crisp finish with lingering sweet fruits. Nice beer.

Bottle at A La Mort Subite in Brussels (3,65 euro). A bit cloudy, golden yellow with a thin white head. Fruity notes (cherry) and bubblegum in the nose. Little to no carbonation. Sweet but not really like gum or candy. Surprisingly finished a bit dry. A bit like Bazooka bubblegum on the finish.

Presented as Morte Subite Witte Lambic
Sampled July 2010 at De Heeren van Liedekercke; paired with the dessert course as part of the tasting menu

This has a huge peach nectar like character to it; for some reason it reminds me of an overly sweetened ice tea that has been doused with fake peach flavor. The beer is a hazed, pale gold color and is topped by a fizzy, white head.

The flavor is sweet and peach like, though this is watered down a bit. This is only faintly beer-like to me and there is a hint of tartness to it towards the finish. The finish has a touch of dried grassy graininess to it. This is quite light bodied, though the extra sugar adds some texture to the body.

This is definitely a weird beer, I am quite surprised how peach like this beer seems to me; I suppose this could be because of the other beers I have had today, but it seems so pronounced I don’t know how someone could miss it. Small amounts of this work with dessert, but I certainly wouldn’t want to drink much of this.

On tap at the La Becasse Cafe, Belgium. I had to search long and hard for this, as it was not among the Timmerman lambics served there - they called it "witte lambic" and that was pretty much what got me through the aliased beer and onto this one. Body is straw yellow with a creamy white top. Aroma is wheat and citrus tones, with hints of tarty, vinegar-ish notes somewhere; then again this might just be my mind playing tricks on my because of the name; this isn’t really a lambic. Too bad, I thought I was in for a real original creation here! :-S Anyway, taste is fair enough, very mild with hints of grapes and cereals. Comfortable, but a bit too mild. Smooth blend, but pretty boring.

Bottle at De Heeren van Liedekercke at the beerfest. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a large white head. The aroma is sweet, fruity watermelon and berries. A nice grainy and yeasty flavor; some earthy, hints of sourness trying to get through, light fruit. Unique.

On tap at the Mort Subite café in Brussels, sold as a "lambic white". Lots of hops and coriander on the nose. Looks great, a beautiful-out-of-the-tap drink with just enough head. Taste is a mix of wheat flavourings, not much in the way of a "lambic" taste. Pretty good though, I was happy with it.

on tap - 01/08/2010 @ De Heeren van Liedekercke

Pours a cloudy dark golden yellow beer with fine adhesive white head. Smell is that of wheatbeer, a little musty, some fruitiness. Taste is honey at first followed by a specific fruitiness of little red berries and goose berries. Mouthfeeling is a little flat and watery. Aftertaste is a little bitter with some sourness to it.

7th March 2010. Hazy pale gold beer with a little soft white head that tastes liek cream soda. Lovely nose of pineapple cube sweets and mango. Light semi dry palate. Soft fruity beer with pineapple and mango following through from nose to taste. Some vanilla cream as well. Memorable and unusual beer.
