Draught (as Witte Lambic) at Tuulensuu, Tampere. Golden color. Sweet perfumed aroma with orange and candy. More perfumed and flowery orange and candy in the flavor. The taste is initially sweet with dry finish. Rounded, a bit sugary palate. Hint of lambic notes in finish. Ok summer drink, could be dryer.

On tap at PP Carlsbad. Cloudy yellow pour, white head. Sweet wheat malt, peach bubblegum, very very floral... like perfume. Strange beer, I guess it’s okay.

Draft at Global Brew. Proper glassware, small 8 oz. or so serving. Clear light golden with very little head. Aroma of tangerine but the flavor was full of apples with tangerine secondary. Just a bit of wheat. Very light drinking and pleasant.

Pours a hazy light orange. A lot of orange flavor in this one. Primarily tangerine. Almost soda-esque. Very light and creamy.

Tap @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere.
Pours a hazy, light yellow colour with a frothy white head. Aroma of strong, clean peach with lemon notes. Flavour of fruits, especially peach, some malts, citrus, cherris and mild spices. Medium bodied with a surprisingly thick mouthfeel. Very easy to drink and goes down more than nicely. Definitely a summery brew.

Draught. Pours a hazy yellow/gold, with a decent thick white head. Aromas and flavours of stonefruit, coconut, wheat and some light banana. Was sweet, but without being over the top.

Keg at the Draft House, London. Light, hazy yellow pour with a fine, white head. Huge, purely tinned peach aroma. Light yeast in the flavor, plenty of sweetness, mild fruity tartness. Light in body with fizzy carbonation. Crisp finish with lingering sweet fruits. Nice beer.

Bottle at A La Mort Subite in Brussels (3,65 euro). A bit cloudy, golden yellow with a thin white head. Fruity notes (cherry) and bubblegum in the nose. Little to no carbonation. Sweet but not really like gum or candy. Surprisingly finished a bit dry. A bit like Bazooka bubblegum on the finish.

Presented as Morte Subite Witte Lambic
Sampled July 2010 at De Heeren van Liedekercke; paired with the dessert course as part of the tasting menu

This has a huge peach nectar like character to it; for some reason it reminds me of an overly sweetened ice tea that has been doused with fake peach flavor. The beer is a hazed, pale gold color and is topped by a fizzy, white head.

The flavor is sweet and peach like, though this is watered down a bit. This is only faintly beer-like to me and there is a hint of tartness to it towards the finish. The finish has a touch of dried grassy graininess to it. This is quite light bodied, though the extra sugar adds some texture to the body.

This is definitely a weird beer, I am quite surprised how peach like this beer seems to me; I suppose this could be because of the other beers I have had today, but it seems so pronounced I don’t know how someone could miss it. Small amounts of this work with dessert, but I certainly wouldn’t want to drink much of this.
