3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled (BBE 2007), not sure how long this has been in my coldcellar. Deep rubyreddish colour with small off-white head. Aroma is lots of black currants and other dark berries with some mild sourness to it. Flavour is quite much the same with some slight artificial notes as well as also blueberries.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, bought @ Kulminator, Antwerpen.
Pours a deep pale red with a good, frothy off white head - impressive for a lambic. Aroma is sweet with lots of black currants, some oak and a slight tartness. Great creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet at first with lots of black currants and raspberries. A slight tartness hits at the far end along with a little barnyard and muskiness. For people who like fx. Melbourn Brth., this would be their cassis.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tart enough to relieve what could otherwise become cloying sweetness. Has a seductive nose. Mort Subite cassis is accessible enough and I’d return to it now and then. It’s a fun beer but I don’t appreciate the baby sized 25 cl bottles.

I used to love this, it had loads of zippy blackcurrant flavours, was very refreshing. Not seen it for a few years though.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dirty light brown with a reddish tinge. Expressive noise with very clean cassis and ribena fruits, lots of lift. Much fainter to taste and I would think a the fact the beer is 10 months beyong the BB date is a big contributor. Notwithstanding this is a pleasant drink and a very complete beer for a fruit style. More ribena notes but faint and plenty of fizz. Going ok given the age.
