Reminds me of a crappy apple cider. Smells like Sprite. Leaves a lemony tart aftertaste. Pretty simple beer. Pretty lame. Don’t waste your time.

Amber-orange colour, with white head, dense. Smell is sweet and sour at the same time, the taste too. There are some wood notes, some fruitiness, but you can feel it has been sweetened for a mass-consumption. Light body, with a weak aftertaste. Anyway it’s not so bad, even a bit refreshing.

Bottle. Aroma is sour, fruity, floral. The beer is hazy golden with small head. In taste similar, acidic and tart, dry finish. Very high carbonation. Good beer, very refreshing. More gentle than Oude version.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2014 Bottle at Cafe Olivier, Leiden. Poured a clear medium brown with a bubbly broken off white head. The aroma is vinous, light sour. The flavour is strong sweet, light sour, with a sweet apple, light vinegar palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A Geuze sugar bomb.

Very dense white head that creates a lot of lacing. Soursweet apples, some oak quality, grass, very fruity and straight apple aroma is comming. Not very sour, or it’s tuned down because it’s pretty sweet, pretty refreshing, but not great.

Small white head disappearing quickly. Clear golden. Sweet and sour aroma. Fizzy. Cider notes. More of a soda than a gueuze.

Aroma of heavy yeast, dough and citrus. It appears dark yellow with a thin, lasting, frothy white head. The taste is moderately acidic with a sweet undertone. It could have been sourer and more of a real geuze, but the sweetness brings balance. Fizzy on the tongue, light mouthfeel, a bit sticky. Refreshing too.
