On tap at the source, Brussels. Handsome, vibrant look to the beer, a slightly cloudy and well carbonated pale orange. Nose is bright, citric, and has just a bit of sweetness to it. Playful mouthfeel, not overly acetic. Taste is pleasant and unemphatic, tart and crisp like a young apple, and itís overall a pretty nice starter gueuze.

Once upon a time, many moons ago, this used to be a great beer, a very fine geuze with a sour-sweet palate and a dry finish. But it has now fallen into the claws of the Heineken clan and has become entirely forgettable: no aroma, sugary sweet, chemical, cloying finish. Those wild yeasts have truly been tamed in this one. Donít try this if youíre curious about geuze. And the artwork, too, has gone all wrong.

Bottle. Pours in clear pale body with long lasting low head. Aroma has light funky character but is overall pretty sweet. Taste has sweet peach maltiness, low to almost no bitterness. Body is full, oily, medium to high carbonation.

Slightly sweet and bright beer with malty and marsala aroma. Balanced in character. Good to be introduce in gueze beer.

bottle at home, poured a clear very dark golden colour with a white head, notes of green apples, wheat, lotís of carbonation, lemon, aramel sweetness, vinegar, and a moderate sweet aftertaste, nothing compared to the real geuze

0.25 l bottle @ Danish Tavern, Brussels. Sweet gueuze is nice when you are tired and want to get some extra energy. Sweetness here is not just sugar but fruitness.
