Bottle. Light amber color, rich soapy-like foam. Fruity aroma. Taste - medium sweet, cider-like, light spicy, and some tones of yeast. Not bad.

25 cl glas på torget i Bryssel. Fantastisk god suröl som fick avsluta vistelsen i Bryssel.

Bottle at Akkurat. 2000 vintage. Almost clear deep golden liquid with a medium white head. Aroma of mineral, apples, lemons, acetic acid, glue and barnyard. Taste is dry and medium sour with notes of lemons, minerals, barnyard and apple skin. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice! A lot better than expected. Not sweet at all.

Fles met kurk. Dik schuim, licht amber, niet troebel. Ruikt zuur maar fris. Smaakt vooral erg fris, zoetig zelfs. lekker!

Bottle. Brown/bronze pour with beige head. Some light funky tones, including acetic? Nutty and malty flavors, not too much funk in the flavor.

Surprisingly dark amber orange color with nice foam. The aroma is sort of sweet-sour, but unfortunately not complex at all. Tastes way too sweet and doesn’t have any sour or oak hints. It’s really not what you’d expect from a Gueuze, it’s too sugary. Still sort of refreshing if you like it sweet.

Reminds me of a crappy apple cider. Smells like Sprite. Leaves a lemony tart aftertaste. Pretty simple beer. Pretty lame. Don’t waste your time.

Amber-orange colour, with white head, dense. Smell is sweet and sour at the same time, the taste too. There are some wood notes, some fruitiness, but you can feel it has been sweetened for a mass-consumption. Light body, with a weak aftertaste. Anyway it’s not so bad, even a bit refreshing.

Bottle. Aroma is sour, fruity, floral. The beer is hazy golden with small head. In taste similar, acidic and tart, dry finish. Very high carbonation. Good beer, very refreshing. More gentle than Oude version.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2014 Bottle at Cafe Olivier, Leiden. Poured a clear medium brown with a bubbly broken off white head. The aroma is vinous, light sour. The flavour is strong sweet, light sour, with a sweet apple, light vinegar palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A Geuze sugar bomb.
