Pours out with a big head that fads down to a mm pretty quick. the nose is sharp and basomic... If farmhouse animal urine smelled good it would smell like this..The taste is sweet and bitter.the flavour is one dimensional but it is a pleasant flavour..but that flavour really runs the sweet to tart gauntlet. A decent beer.

And down goes another Lambic. Not that great like the ones I had before but still crazy sour with some fruits in the background. Sour milk in the aroma and some grains also. Solid, very solid Lambic.

So I really like Gueuzes a lot and on our last trip to Belgium I was really happy about some nice bottles of Gueuze I got and thought they were really great. Like this one. The bottle really looks nice and the company has got a really interesting name. And today it came to the big opening, well sort of. This Lambic has got a clear amber colour with low steady head and medium body. Nose of sauerkraut. Taste of malt, bitter hops and soap. Hints of earth and leaves. But the worst about this beer is the finish that’s got left on your tongue and this is like the the smell and atmosphere in a fancy indoor swimming world: Chlorine, tropical plants and pee. Didn’t like it.

Bottle on the 14.56 Brussels Midi - Saint Pancras from Carrefour at Midi, 29/04/13. Clear golden with a thin white head. Nose is light sour lemon tarte, touch of toffee, light vinegars, lemon rind, pinch of spice. Taste comprises lemon curd, sugars, toffee, candied sugars. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, dry finish. Overall nowhere near enough sour/tarte in this one. Drinkable but too sweet. A Gueueze that assumes the classic ’W’ - well I never!

Skulle vilja ha lite mer funk, annars helt ok. Coolt att kunna köpa en geuze kl 22 på en söndag. Där ligger vi efter..

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2013 Pours clear dark golden color with thin head (but with nice lacing). Aroma is medium intensive with lambic and fruity notes. Taste is sweet and sour with apple and cherry esters. High carbonation (but it?s typical for lambic). Surprisingly easy to drink. Really taste!

375ml bottle. Clear dark gold pour with thin lacy white head. Honey, cereal dominated aroma, note the complete absence of any typical lambic funk/cheesy aromas. Flavors are disturbingly clean, no funk, earth, or wet hay to be found anywhere. Some cherry notes, slightly leafy and medicinal. More of a boring blond Belgian pale than anything I’d tag as a lambic. Drinkable, but tear-jerkingly bland.
