Pours ruby red with a small pink head. Nose is cherry syrup. Sweet overload on the pallet. Hardly detect any bitter with a hint of tart. The mouthfeel is sticky, heavy body and a long finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Red/light burgundy, clear. Jammy-fruity beer. Cherries (a bit sour, dark) and hints of other, reddish, berries. Doesn’t feel as barnyardy and malty as some, but rather jammy, rasperryish. Body is quite light, some acidity. Fresh berries in finish. Quite alright.

The sour, normally very present aroma is hard to find. With some effort you can find a slightly aroma of red wine. Furthermore is a clear dark-red beer. It has a very sour taste, with some blueberry-like taste on the background. The aftertaste turns light-bitter very quick.

Cherry and vinegar on the nose, smells very sweet. Cherry color, fizzy head. Taste is the cherry upfront, quickly dissipating to a citric sourness and a dry finish. Very carbonated and medium body. Tastes a bit artificial and overly sweet to enjoy any large quantity of this one.

250 ml bottle. BB 10/07/14. From bierzwerg.de.
Deep red colour with small greyish white head. Mild sourness, fermented strawberries, cherries and mild sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is red berries, cherries and some sweetness. Quite fizzy. Very drinkable.

Bottle 25 cl. Wow, the beer gushed out from the bottle and poured clear dark red in color with a foamy white head. Cherries and candi sugar in aroma. Tart mouthfeel with some chewyness. Slightly sour and sweet cherry on the tongue. Sour in aftertaste with some sweet wheat and cherry notes coming through.

On tap at Toronado. The aroma is almost exclusively cherries. I wish there was more complexity, but other than the cherries there is just a bit of tartness. There is no funkiness. Pours a very clear bright red with a punk head that recedes quickly leaving very good lacing. Flavor is sweet with lots of cherry flavor. Mid palate there is some tartness an a hint of oak in the finish. Unfortunately cherry syrup overwhelms. No funkiness and the acidity is light and not complex. Mouthfeel is medium low bodies with medium carbonation. A bit sticky sweet compared to what I would expect. Low alcohol warmth and no astringency. Overall this just isn't my thing. I want krieks to be funky and acidic not sweet. The cherry flavor is nice, but that's about the only positive to this beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
