HOPSHUNTER (376), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 6, 2009 Bottle. Poured a clear red color with a tall, fluffy pink head. Very strong aroma of sour cherries. Good amount of carbonation. Flavor is a little sweeter than I would have liked, cherry is definitely there. Little bit of sour dryness on the back end. Very good and very refreshing. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Sep 5, 2009 Courtesy of HOPSHUNTER. Pours pale cherry – rose color with thin off white head. The aroma is intoxicating with loads of rich ripe cherry goodness and a dash of earthiness. The taste is crisp and fresh with ripe cherry and berry notes. Pretty fruity drink that thankfully does not head into syrupy sweetness. TampaBrew (726), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 3, 2009 POurs a deep pink. Smell is initial funk and lactic acid, then loads of fruit, cherry , strawberry,. Flavor is a vinous sour berry and fresh cherries. Listigovers (96), Ontario, Canada Aug 20, 2009 I think something’s wrong, but I’ll rate anyways.
375mL bottle. Absolutely flat, no head ((first indication something is wrong...)) Pours a deep red, fruit punch aroma. Moderately strong sour fruit taste, not crisp, finish is okay but somewhat weak. Weird tastes indicate something is wrong, somehow, it’s still an acceptable drink. Needs re-rate... Rating for personal counting. zdk (180), New York, USA Jul 12, 2009 Clear red with white head and strong cherry arouma. Very sour-fruity a good kriek, but I’m missing hops, it almost tastes like a soda. Diogène (543), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jul 9, 2009 Bottle. Aroma is tart with cherries, and fruits. Hazy pink with a medium foamy pink-white head. Very good retention and minimal lacing. Taste is sweet and tart with cherries and malt. Sweet aftertaste. Medium body with a foamy mouthreel. MrRoss (614), Delta, British Columbia, Canada Jul 7, 2009 Poured out looking very much like a darker pink champagne, with a frothy pink head topping a body of what could’ve passed for cream soda. Aroma featured red cherries as did the taste. Mouthfeel was a bit on the thin side of the scale, and it finished acceptably. jrallen34 (123), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 2, 2009 Updated: Jul 13, 2009Drank in a chalice from a bottle in Brussels at Delirium Cafe..
This is very good lambic.
it smells great very sweet with cherries.
The beer has a beautiful red/brown color with a white head, not a lot lacing.
It tastes sweet with cherries dominating but has a nice sour kick too.
