| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 16, 2004 bottled: pours red pink with a huge pink/white head that bubbles with lots of effervesence. nose is mostly of fruit as we would all expect and cherries as we would all expect. follows through into the palate lots of prickly sour cherry flavor. as with the other mort subite not the upper crust of lambics but still okay...im not crazy about this kriek. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2004 Red with a slight brown tint. Constant carbonation. Slight pink head. Tangy cherry aroma. As one would expect, cherries dominate the flavor profile. Some citrus flavors, too, and tart finish. Manages to be both tart and rich through to the end, with a hint of oak and red wine in the finish. Dalle (1146), Skørping, Denmark
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 27, 2004 Red with small head. Thin and with little taste: more sweet than sour. IMO Belle-Vue kriek is far better!!! Nate (2538), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Jul 2, 2004 Cherry aroma, somewhat astringent-bitter. Tannic, not too sweet. Light hops. Dull cranberry pink clear with off-pink lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Light chalky finish. Starts with decent acidity, light cherry flavor, and papery. Light hops. Finish is still acidic, with medium bitterness. Cherry flavor pronounced, but not very smooth. Astringent, alum. Light sour-sweet after. Not a great kriek. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 21, 2004 Like their Frambois, this is too syrupy and sweet. However, the cherry sourness is more prominant and not so artificial tasting. Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 27, 2004 Bottled. A decent kriek thats dry with little sourness. For a fruit lambic it is sweet, but not incredibly sweet (Read: Jacobins), it does detract slightly from the enjoyment though. Silphium (2124), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 27, 2004 Inviting aroma of cherry and sour wood. Ethanol and mustiness also detectable after pouring. Flavor is watery and stale with cherry and some of that sour, musty "cheeserind" character. Nary a head on the red body. Seems watered-down and stale. Pretty weak.
