COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Kriek Mort Subite is brewed according to the ancestral lambic recipe. This original Belgian beer ferments spontaneously. Enriched with cherries, it matures soft and slowly in oaken casks. To be served cool.

pours a light red with thin white head. minimal aroma. taste is sour cherry, gummy bears and some apple. finishes with a sour gum flavour. still enough sweetness to pass for a typical fruit beer

UPDATED: OCT 28, 2011 2011-10-23. Pinkish amber body with a small pink tinged white head. 3+ Flavour is quite sweet with candyish cherry overtones. Very light sourness. Surprisingly mild overall actually. Aroma has similar cherry profile, quite sweet, like fresh cherry concentrate meets lifesavers. Smooth average plus bodied palate is very lightly carbonated. Inoffensive enjoyable fruit drink but lacks the depth of character and sourness most serious lambic fans are looking for. Bottle bought a year ago at the LCBO, Toronto

Bottle. Pink coloured beer with pink head. Aroma of cassis and carbon. Loads of carbonisation going on, sweet flavour, finished with some sourness.

In bottle. Pours a nice red colour with a fair pink head. Aroma of cherries, lemon, caramel and almonds. SImilar flavours. Only very mildly sour with with a foamy mouth-feel. A little sweet with a dry finish. Lemon and cherry linger. OK.

Tallahassee, Fl - Fermentation Lounge - on tap - thanks to drowland for sharing!. Reddish pour, pink bubbly head. Aroma is that of sour cherries, somewhat natural. Flavor is bursting with cherries - more sweet than sour - kind of leans toward a Cherry Slurpee. Thick enough mouthfeel,

10/5/11. On tap. Clearish red pour with a big, thick white head that lasts and laces a ton. Relatively subtle aroma of tart cherries, tannic skins, and a bit of what reminds me of Luden’s cough drops, but not bad. Nice sweet cherry flavor with just a touch of metal. Not bad.

375ml bottle. Pours a deep red with a medium, frothy, pink head. Aroma is sweet cherry yoghurt. Taste is a little sweet to start. Quite watery, some cherry in the finish.

Draft at special brews. Pours a clear bright garnet with a sudsy pink head. Cherry cough syrup nose hits you from across the room. Creamy sticky medium body. Synthetic cherry mid palate, very cough syrupy. Sticky sweet candy finish. Way oversweet.
