The Kriek Mort Subite is brewed according to the ancestral lambic recipe. This original Belgian beer ferments spontaneously. Enriched with cherries, it matures soft and slowly in oaken casks. To be served cool.

Translucent ruby red. Nice sized head with good retention. Tart cherry and sugar aroma. The addition of juice eradicates any potential for greatness. Extremely thin and watery. Mildly tart cherry with a slightly hoppy and sweet finish. Essentially carbonated cherry juice. At least the taste isnít revolting.

Normal does not stand out Kriek. A little sweet, a little cherry, not rich flavor.

Way too sweet. Didnít feel like a beer of any kind. Despite being disappointed by the sugar in this beer, the flavor is not that bad. Not quite enjoyable but still not that bad.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2015 Bottle, on corsica. Clear red amber with a light reddish head. Cherry pie aromas. Sour taste, rather dry, low bitterness. Malty Aftertaste, but with less cherrys. Light body, fizzy carbonation. Edit 12.04.15: Nice cherry aroma and with this bat h more cherrys in the aftertaste. Pleasurable kriek, not too sweet. Very nice.

Bottle at Van Puffelen, Amsterdam. Clear pinkish red with a small pinkish head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Quite sweet with some subtle sour tones. Cherries, tart and some vinegar. For a fruit beer, this is quite nice.

Deep amber/red in colour. Aroma is fairly sweet, tangy and slightly musty. Light bodied with a refreshing, spritzy mouthfeel. The mustiness carries through in the flavour, with a very nice sour finish.

Clear amber red body, small head, good lacing. The smell is all cherry. Taste begins with sweet cherry, tart in the middle, cherry in the end with a fresh cherry aftertaste. Light body, pleasant medium carbonation.
