Sweetened, oily palate, fizzy, tiny bit of lambic character. Not great really

On draft @ Sunset Grill and Tap. Dark copper color. Off-white nearly pink head, some lace. A subtle sour cherry. A mild tartness in the finish. Nothing complex. A smooth and easy starter Lambic if you plan on having many.

A: The beer pours a nice bright red color with a thin layer of pinkish head.
S: Intense cherry aroma with a slight sugary note to it. There is a little bit of acidity to it which does help to balance out the sweetness.
T: The best way to describe the taste of this beer is cherry soda. Mildly acidic with tons of cherry flavor and a substantial sweetness. But, the beer is not overly sugary or cloying.
M: Medium in body with a lively carbonation.
O: Certainly a guilty pleasure. Although it’s not necessarily traditional, it’s still enjoyable in small servings.

25cl bottle via a trade with bu11zeye. Pours with a small off-white head and a mostly clear red body. Aromas of cherry coffee syrup, light acid, light funk, wheat. Flavors are sweet, cherry koolaid, light acidity (lactic), grainy. A bit of an artificial sourness that is odd. Lots of artificial flavors, but they come together okay. Not super sweet, but a fake sweetness. Lively carbonation, dry.

Bottle:
Small off white to white foamy head on top of a clear red to dark pink colored beer.
Smell cherries, sweets, hints of malts and herbs, but mostly cherries.
Taste is sweet but not too sweet taste of cherries with hints of sweets, herbs, hint of yeast and malts.
Sweet aftertaste.
Low to medium body, low to medium carbo, soft mouthfeel.

Bottle, 25cl. Pours a clear cherry colour with a nice tan head, great lacing. Aroma exhibits all the kriek sweetness, and just touch of bitterness. Taste is nice and balanced, slightly sour even. I don’t really like sweet lambics, so this was a nice surpise. One of the few commercial lambics I enjoy.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Scopey (1192) - Croydon, Surrey, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2011
Bottle at the Piccadilly. It pours clear red with moderate carbonation and a thin light pink head. The nose is really sweet, cherry tunes, distant sourness, some yeast and sherbet. It tastes of tangy cherry tunes, glazier cherry, synthetic with an underlying lemon-lime sourness and syrupy mouth-feel. Way too sweet and artificial tasting for me.

draft@bar: not bad but seemed a bit too sweet & slightly artificial, slightly syrop-like to me, there were only very minor lambic characteristics to be found, somewhere hidden underneath artificial cherries & sugar, still enjoyable and not bad, seems to much like a bad imitation of Lindemans Kriek
