COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Kriek Mort Subite is brewed according to the ancestral lambic recipe. This original Belgian beer ferments spontaneously. Enriched with cherries, it matures soft and slowly in oaken casks. To be served cool.

37.5 cL bottle from the LCBO, served in a snifter. Pours clear pinkish red with a small, frothy pink head. The head fades slowly to a bare cover and leaves a reasonable amount of loose lace. On the nose, there is big sour cherry aroma along with sweet fruit and a hint of yeast. Not much else, really. The flavour is sweet fruit up front with a big sour kick through the middle. The cherries come through towards the end as the sourness subsides. There is a slight oakiness throughout as well. On the palate, it is light-medium in body with a surprisingly rich creamy texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a reasonably nice, albeit simple, kriek. 2010-12-04

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, small stable head, clear light red colour with pinkish streaks, aroma of cherries with some winey notes and a light spiciness in the back, flavour of cherry jam which feels artificial with hints of saddle and metal, pleasant strong sourness. Fair.

Does not smell very much exept a little fruit. The taste is mainly cherry and it is ok at the begining but you get bored as mcuh as you drink it and to finish it is very hard. Personally, I don’t like it because it do not taste like beer more like fruit soft drink.
