The Kriek Mort Subite is brewed according to the ancestral lambic recipe. This original Belgian beer ferments spontaneously. Enriched with cherries, it matures soft and slowly in oaken casks. To be served cool.

Does not smell very much exept a little fruit. The taste is mainly cherry and it is ok at the begining but you get bored as mcuh as you drink it and to finish it is very hard. Personally, I donít like it because it do not taste like beer more like fruit soft drink.

375 ml cork and caged bottle to snifter. Looks solid; a transparent burnt-ish orange with foamy head. Smells tart and cherry-ish; medicinal though. Tastes like it smells with more tartness and a touch of bread; still underwhelming though.

375 ml bottle poured. Pours a fizzy red color with a huge, foamy almost pink head. Sweet cherry pie aroma. Kind of tastes like a cherry pie as well. More like it tastes exactly the same. Long sweet cherry flavor with an endless cherry palate. A little too sweet, but otherwise delicious. Not what I expected in a beer at all, but I enjoyed the hell out of this. Good stuff.

Clear amber red body, small head, good lacing. The smell is all cherry. Taste begins with sweet cherry, tart in the middle, cherry in the end with a fresh cherry aftertaste. Light body, pleasant medium carbonation.

Bottle at Van Puffelen, Amsterdam. Clear pinkish red with a small pinkish head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Quite sweet with some subtle sour tones. Cherries, tart and some vinegar. For a fruit beer, this is quite nice.

375ml bottle from The Only. Hazy pink body with rose/off-white foamy head. Cherry and traditional lambic sour aromas, some wet paper. Quite tart with nice moderation. Very nice, pretty heavy bodied past the point of sessionable.

Deep amber/red in colour. Aroma is fairly sweet, tangy and slightly musty. Light bodied with a refreshing, spritzy mouthfeel. The mustiness carries through in the flavour, with a very nice sour finish.
