The Kriek Mort Subite is brewed according to the ancestral lambic recipe. This original Belgian beer ferments spontaneously. Enriched with cherries, it matures soft and slowly in oaken casks. To be served cool.

A really beutiful beer with a clear red color and a beutiful light red head. The aroma is sharp and sour from the wild fermentation but also contains sweetness - a very strong aroma. The flavor is carbonated in the beginning with some sweetness, though in the beginning dominated by the wild fermented sharpness also containing some metallic notes. After this start the sweetness hits you mixed with some sharpness and ending with a little bitterness. The sweetness lingers on your lips.

(Bottle 37,5 cl) Nothing looks prettier than a kriek in a glass with it’s tall, fluffy pinkish head. And nothing quences your thirst any better on a hot summer’s day - well, almost nothing. This is a beautiful, deep red. Some fruity sweetness without being cloying. A beer that awakes a yearning for summer.... 190294

Bottled. Clear red colour, big creamy head. Malt and cherry in aroma, breadish hints. Cherry and malt in flavour. Strawberryish flavour in the finish. A bit of a "split-personality beer".

Bottle, 375ml corked. (Thanks to Tom, you know who you are.) Golden-red, clear body, with an off-white head. Nice lacings. Quite sweetish on the nose, with cherry and almond. Sweet flavor as well, leaving the cherries to play the second violin, followed by a little tartness and some almondy notes. Overall it is too sweet, but it went down easily with the fruit-salad.
