Commercial Description:
The Kriek Mort Subite is brewed according to the ancestral lambic recipe. This original Belgian beer ferments spontaneously. Enriched with cherries, it matures soft and slowly in oaken casks. To be served cool.

Like their Frambois, this is too syrupy and sweet. However, the cherry sourness is more prominant and not so artificial tasting.

375ml bottle@Kristiansand lambic festival. Clear red body with a big pink head. Aroma has a lot of fruity cherry, but not as artificial as often the case when they get this heavy fruity. Flavor is rather sweet, refreshing cherry with the lambic basic still intact. Not a fully developed kriek this, but really refreshing with the genuine stuff recognizable.

Pours a pinkish reddish color. Aromas of cherries, almonds. Flavor is a subdued tart cherry taste, not a big as I expected. Medium bodied with a slight tart mouthfeel. This is a great beer.

final day get ’em in...nice ruby colour, great lacing...smooth fresh crisp ,like an apple.a candied apple perhaps....nice uplifting sweet/sour cherry smell....a great brew...real fruity, a solid offering...a starter lambic because of its sweetness and subtle sourness.....good.

Sourish, somewhat tart cherry-flavour. Not too sweet. A good Kriek.

Bottled:
Nice cherry aroma without any artificial componentes as chapeau or lindemans. Sourly cherry flavor, but cherry flavor is very decent. No artificial almond notes. Quite nice.

Taste this beer more times, yesterday at last. Bottle 37,5 cl. Clea red olor, with pinkisch head. Aroma sweet, cherry, fruity. Medium body. Taste is very sweet, cherry, little sourness. Like the Oude kriek more, a great difference.

25 cl bottle, bought in Oostende - shared with Roger. Not extremely red color, big pink head. Aroma is cherry, but not overkill, as in many other krieks. Flavor is cherry in a balanced and fine way. Smooth and fine malty finish.
