WeeHeavySD (1511), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA May 11, 2008 91 vintage bottle nicely brought to Bill’s sour tasting. Pours reddish, with a lil cherry nose, cherry is there in the flavor least favorite of the 3 mort subite 91 vintages I had that day.

Info: 250ml bottle, 3/3-2007, 156/500 HogTownHarry (3129), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Jun 28, 2008 Bottle (375ml - corked & caged, green). Clear, bright cherry red pour, smallish pink diminishing fizzy head. Smells of sweet cherry and paper, only a light whiff of funk in the background - kind of artificial, really. The taste is all cherry popsicle, specifically INCLUDING the wooden stick in the middle. Syrupy, sticky, slightly acidic but mostly just like liquid candy - not great. thewolf (3191), Kolding, Denmark Jun 18, 2008 Bottle, bought @ Belgisk Bryg, Cph.
zpours clear red with a small, frothy off-white to light pink head. Aroma has light cherries, light tartness and some funkiness. Mouthfeel is light with relatively high carbonation. Flavour is mildly fruity, light tartness. There is not so much taste in here - not as artificial as some of the chapeau for example. Okay and quite drinkable. robinvboyer (950), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Jun 10, 2008 clear dark red pour, nice pinkish head. Aroma is of cherries obviously, but it’s a tad artificial, it also reminds me of black cherry ice cream. The flavour is very sweet, and just a tad sour, but barlely. Some decent cherry notes in the flavour, but again, a tad artifical. Meh, not bad, but too sweet overall. acrdz (4096), Pennsylvania, USA Jun 2, 2008 Draft at Mort Subite in Brussels. Crystal clear ruby red colored body with a pink billowy head. Flavor of candied sweet and syrupy cherries, with a light sprite/cola brightness throughout. Soft carbonation, and overall pale and empty, lacking depth. More like cherry soda than lambic, but it does has some creamed fruit/milk notes to help balance the sugar, but overall it’s very sweet and purely commercial.
