3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 8, 2006 (Bottle 37,5 cl) Beautiful, dark, golden colour - hazy. Dry - not much sweetness was left in this. Typical sour vinegar notes but I also detect whiskey, yes for sure - this is the closest you get to bourbon in a beer bottle.... (Mine was 6% ABV). 240793

37cl Corked Bottle at Plan B
Golden golor; frothy head with nice lace. Sour, a bit citrusy, dry. But the aroma is far from being as strong as the good samples from Drie Fontainen and Cantillon, and the body from being complex as I would expect. Just refreshing.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, 375 ml corked, from trade with jbrus. A clear, golden beer with a nice, dense, off-white head. Sort of Belgian Blonde-like aroma, fruity and sugary with a distinct lemony touch. Semi-sweet flavor, at least considering its style, some barnyard and lemon. Medium body, dry. Lemony, slightly vinegarish finish. A decent beer indeed, but more like a faro than a geuze, due to its sweetness. Won’t mind drinking more of it though. 100827
