WeeHeavySD (1867), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA May 11, 2008 1991 Vintage bottle brought to Bill’s Sour tasting. Pours yellow with an off white head. Nose is very peachy and has a candy corn thing to it. Taste is sweet peach and wow, its pretty nice 17 years out.
Pyobon (170), Sydney, Australia Oct 3, 2008 Draught. Clear pale golden with lots of white head. Huge peach aroma with nothing else associated with beer. Light body with plenty of champagne-like effervescence giving a texture like peach skins. The flavour is strongly peach. There is a reasonable balance between sweet and sour, althoygh perthaps a little sweet. There is no bitterness and just the slightest hint of malt. It is overwhelmingly fruity. It is enjoyable, but so fruity the beer origins are lost.
