Non sono decisamente innamorato a questo tipo di operazioni, anzi però mi garba comunque assaggiare per curiosità, niente di terribile, niente di indimenticabile...

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Lightly hazy golden-orange colour with a small off white head. Aromas of peach and brown sugar dominates. Softly CO2 propelled with a rather slick texture and a medium body. Fruity sweetness is dominante with a light citric/acidic note to it. Sweet, rather lasting finish, where the sweetness starts clogging a bit. At the right temperature pretty refreshing stuff.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
25cl bottle at the Les Halles Saint-Gery / Sint-Gorikshallen, Brussels. Golden, orange - or, of course, "peach coloured" - hazy brew with very little foam. The aromas are peach and licorice, sugar. The taste is equally sugary. Think of lemonade or peach flavoured ice tea. Some citrus tea with a watery ending too. The palate is rather enjoyable, but this lemonade beer is just too sweet for a beer. A very artificial brew.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap @ À la Mort Subite. Clean bright golden/orange with a medium off-white head and heavy lacing. Aroma is of sweet peaches gummies and not much else but it’s not that bad. Taste is the same. Light body. Medium carbonation. Short aftertaste. A tad too sweet and artificial, bit far from the worse sweetened fruit lambic that I have tried so far.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Inspired by Lindemans’ example, the other lambic producers which had chosen the path of sweetening and compromise also started making pêche - heavily sweetened peach lambic. This one has peach juice, peach aromas and some spice. Dense, moussy, stable, yellowish head, colour ambery orange blonde, clear. Artificial sourish sweetness, a lot of peach of course, also orange marmelade and apricots in syrup, as well as a vague hint of hay-like lambic. Very sweet and sugary taste, ascorbic acid resulting in a lemonade-like effect, the added spices are very shy and hidden and lambic is fairly hard to even notice. Way too sweet and one-dimensional for my taste. I guess this is okay for the style, though, since all pêches are like this - I just don’t like the style.
