On tap @ À la Mort Subite. Clean bright golden/orange with a medium off-white head and heavy lacing. Aroma is of sweet peaches gummies and not much else but it’s not that bad. Taste is the same. Light body. Medium carbonation. Short aftertaste. A tad too sweet and artificial, bit far from the worse sweetened fruit lambic that I have tried so far.

On tap at la Mort subite. Clear gold pour with really nice creamy lacy white foam. Aroma is fruity artificial peach, peach jujubes. Taste is sweet, super fruity, jujubes. Palate is light, a bit watery. Ok.

Inspired by Lindemans’ example, the other lambic producers which had chosen the path of sweetening and compromise also started making pêche - heavily sweetened peach lambic. This one has peach juice, peach aromas and some spice. Dense, moussy, stable, yellowish head, colour ambery orange blonde, clear. Artificial sourish sweetness, a lot of peach of course, also orange marmelade and apricots in syrup, as well as a vague hint of hay-like lambic. Very sweet and sugary taste, ascorbic acid resulting in a lemonade-like effect, the added spices are very shy and hidden and lambic is fairly hard to even notice. Way too sweet and one-dimensional for my taste. I guess this is okay for the style, though, since all pêches are like this - I just don’t like the style.

Keg at Bruxx. Pours Orange Gold with a fluffy White head. Aroma of synthetic peach. Flavour of synthetic peach. There’s a touch of acidity but the overriding flavour is the fake peach. Refreshing to a degree but I wouldn’t want to much of it.

Draught at A La Mort Subite. It pours clear golden-orange with a small white head. The nose is sweet, fruit syrup, peach/apricot and sugar. The taste is peach ice tea, sugar, dull tang, fruit syrup, cloying sweetness and candy. Light body, fine carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. A challenge to finish. Sweet, sticky and one-dimensional.

25cl bottle. Some artificial aromas and flavours in this one. Kind of sweet, with some peachy flavours. Nothing remarkable.

Pours copper, finger white head. Smell super sweet, candy and gum, sweet juicy peach, perfect ripe fruit aroma. Taste very sweet, bit tart on the tail, juicy Very refreshing Don’t expect a true lambic, but I enjoyed it. Along the lines of Lindemann’s
