Bouteille 250ml. De couleur dorée-orangée et voilée. Nez fruité (sirop de pêche), léger de sucre bonbon avec quelques traces herbeuses. Mince-moyenne en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture légèrement sirupeuse fruitée. Goût fruité aux petites notes acides (mélange de pêches fraîches et sirop de pêches) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute des notes de sucre avec de faibles notes herbeuses en finale. Post-goût moyen, composé d’un goût fruité sucré aux petites notes aigres (pelures de pêches) avec des traces herbeuses.

Bottle. Hazy golden amber color, medium white head. Aroma of intense peach, subtle lemon. Taste is peach and citrus, not too sweet. Acceptable.

On tap at the source, Brussels. While I wanted to just drink the gueuze all afternoon, I couldn’t resist trying this out. Very handsome pour, luminous orange, and almost creamy-looking with all the carbonation. Nose was soft and perhaps a bit overly fruity, at the expense of tartness. Lustrous mouthfeel aside, the taste did indeed follow through with a super syrupy personality, rather than freshly tart peach skins as wanted. Still a nice try, though.

Tap @ La Mort Subite. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and quite a bit of peach. Flavor is quite sweet and light acidic. Sweet and light acidic finish. 190712

Originally rated March 2006. Sampled at Pub Italia in Ottawa, Ontario. Pours a honey colour, looking like peach juice, slightly hazy. The off-white frothy head is long lasting and lacing is great, with big chunks all over. Light peachy aromas with notes of honey. Medium-bodied with a mild surypy feel. Sweet tasting, but not overly, with beautiful peach flavours. A touch of apples and grapes is found, with a little tiny bitterness in the finish. Good dessert beer, but still prefer their raspberry one.

On tap at the brewery. A clear, golden to amber colored beer with a finger-thick, creamy, off-white head. Loads of peaches and white sugar in the aroma. The flavor is as expected sweet, with peaches and some acidity. Medium body, smooth and sweetish-sticky on the palate. A drinkable beer, but way to one-dimensional and sweet. 110501
