Leighton (10674) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2011
Bottle at home with Lyoli. Hazy maroon on the pour with a weak, whitish head. Intense raspberries on the nose, slightly ripe. Quite sweet flavor, plenty of fruity raspberries, lightly syrupy, some mild bread, not much tartness. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Sugary finish with plenty of raspberry coming through. Not too bad, really.

500ml bottle (Smatch, Bruges)
5 Muted berry aroma.
3 Dark red, big light pink head
5 I guess I should be thankful it tastes of raspberries, but it’s not particularly tasty.
3 Soft palate, decent carbonation
9 Whole raspberries, but a bit dull. Not much beer behind the fruit.

Bottle. Pours a deep red tending to maroon. Foamy light pink coloured head. Aroma of syrupy raspberries. reminiscent of cough medicine. Flavours are ridiculously sweet and not much else. No sourness or anything you would associate with a lambic.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2011 In Bottle; pours bright red-raspberry, great berry aroma. Strong raspberry taste, more berry notes than the regular framboise ... my wife really enjoyed this one

Bottle, Blarney Stone, Menorca. Good quality fruit beer. Loads of aroma, bags of juicy flavour, with just a hint of bitterness in the finish. Fine clear ruby appearance.
