mabel (1673), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 19, 2008 [1130-20080228] Tap @ Grand Place (Brussels, B). Aroma is a deadringer for sour cherry Jolly Ranchers plus a little wild animal fur. Clear, deep red pink body with a medium-lasting light pink head and thick lacing. Flavour is of old mouldy cherries with a bit of zing left in them, but the Jolly Rancher theme still continues. Medium body is a little sour. Nice cherry characteristics.
Allen (644), Wölflinswil, Switzerland Aug 16, 2008 Bottled 25cl. It pours a beautiful red beer with a light pink head. The nose is of cherries accompanied by sulphur and manure. Sweet. Cherries, elderflower and marzipan in the taste. Soapy. Nice lacework. Some coconut showing up. Sweet finish with marzipan dominating. Gets cloying after a few sips. Furseth (1166), Kungälv, Sweden Aug 11, 2008 Bottle: Clear red colour, with a nice head. Aroma of cherrys, flowers, and a nice fruity finish. flavor is fruity, smouth creamy mouth feeling. Thin body, and short to medium fnish. Borresteijn (584), Amstelveen, Netherlands Jul 15, 2008 From tap. Better than I expected. Nice red colour, cherry and bit sour aroma. Tastes very sweet, cherries, but because it’s a tad sour it’s quite refreshing. shrubber85 (2591), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Jun 14, 2008 Bottle. Sweet-sour cherry and musty aroma. Bright red color with small head. Sweet-sour cherry flavor with a light musty-metallic finish. Typical super-sweet fruit lambic but my wife likes it so a definite plus since she now will tolerate my beer searches in Belgium better. bhensonb (3013), Woodland, California, USA May 29, 2008 Bottle. Red cherry color with a large pinkish head. Fresh cherry aroma. Thin to medium body. Creamy carbonation. Nice cherry flavor, but this one comes too sweet. Too near soda. It does have a nice lactic undertone; it does have cherry skin notes. I’d lie to recommend it. Can’t.
