Cask conditioned handpump Wig & Pen Northampton 15/01/13. A dark dark brown coloured beer with a tight whitish head and lace. A sweet old ale. A bit of red licorice and camp coffee. Lots of odd stuff here. Wheaty notes too. Strange but drinkable.

Cask at the Pretty Bricks, Walsall. Poured a rich dark chesnut colour with a broken tan head. The aroma is weak but with malty notes. The flavour is bitter with strong liqourice and fruit. A nice tasty winter ale packed with flavour.

Cask@Lychgatetavern, Wolverhampton. Dark brown beer, no head. Dark malt aroma. Taste is of dark malts, treacle and warm spices. A little thin in the body with a spicy fizz on the tongue. An OK old ale.
