Bottle, courtesy of enjoyit. A clear, golden beer with a small, off-white head. Boring, sweet aroma with some corn. Rather fruity. The flavor is pretty much the same, sweet, corn-like and slightly fruity thing found in the aroma. Medium body. Caramel and corn in the sweet finish. Not the worst Russian beer I’ve had, but not worth revisiting either. 110129

Bottled 500ml (Stockmann Tallinn, bottled 12/2011)
Golden-amber color, small white head. Harsh, grainy, nasty aroma. Light-bodied. Sweet and harsh flavor: caramel and fusels. Typical low quality Russian industrial lager.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2012 500ml bottle (Stockmann, Tallinn) - shared by Tbone - thanks! (4:2:4:2:7=1.9)
Slightly messed up aroma, chemical and cleaning fluid. Taste initially is even worse! However, it becomes bready and grainy, and almost quite nice. There’s even a hint of ginger. However, the hump of nastiness is too much to get past in order for me to be positive about this. I don’t know if this will make me blind.
Rerate 500ml can (Maxima, Tallinn) (2:2:3:2:6=1.5)
Smells absolutely rank. Doesn’t taste much better. Verging on horror. DP.

Bottle: Clear, golden, invisible head + lazy carbonation; sweetish grainy and citrussy nose; mild sweetish-bitter flavour; really light bodied; sweetish grainy finish with a mild bitterness. Not really unpleasant, but pretty bland.....

Rune (8881) - Tromsř, NORWAY - JUN 24, 2011
500ml bottle airborne to Tromsř from Murmansk, thanks to Snegurochka. Cool retro bottle label. Film-like layer, clear golden. Cheesy dry malts to the nose. Russian (?) caramel malts in flavour. Hints of cardboard in the aftertaste. Soft in the mouth. Just about drinkable (shared at a session, 22.06.2011).
