Thanks to Anita who brought it to me from Firenze. Bottle 75cl.
Weak aroma of toasted malt (from this one I’ll know what is toasted malt). Sexy cooper reddish clear in colour. Top is creamy fast. Taste is most enjoyable - very light sweetness with bitterness from hops, a bit herbal, both in taste and afterpath. Middle body with light carbonation, Interesting beer according to beer style witch to me is not very common.

Buona eh, ma un po’ sporchina; sarà che mi è toccato il cambio del fusto (metà fondo metà inizio).

Weak aroma, some bread; deep amber, clear, frothy white head that stays; light sweetness, lightly bitter; light body, thin feel, average carbonation; all in all an above average beer but not outstanding.

Il colore è un arancio-rosso con bella schiuma persistente. Al naso leggero malto e decisamente luppolo. Anche in bocca è l’amaro a farla da padrone, molto bilanciato e gradevole. Molto beverina.

(Draught at One Pint Pub Italian weeks ’10) This was really clean one compared to martellina. Still, I didn’t like this. There was some harshness which was off-putting. There was potential for better beer: nice maltiness, some hops and quite fitting bitterness.

Draught at Mostodolce, Florence. Pours reddish amber with a lasting beige head. Surprisingly hoppy nose of spice, citrus and grassy notes. Flavour is caramel, citrus, spice and grassy hops. Tastes fresh from the tap. Moderate bitterness. A touch cloying in the finish. This has potential - it’s actually quite good.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 DruncanVeasey (6179) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2009
Draught at the tap in Firenze. Scabby Duomo tile terracotta, totally muddy and opaque, thin beige collar to a halo. Earthy malt, yeast, ash and citrus aroma, hazelnut, cwoffee. Again some milk and cereal mealiness, nuthusk, malted milk, sup of coffee dregs, full hop bitterness persisting long after swallow, chocolate wafer, grapefruit, soil. Very alive, very Inglese. Solid.
