COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In medieval times, the Knucker was the infamous water dragon that wreaked havoc on local farming communities by consuming local livestock and even villagers! This soothing serum was was concocted to tame the savage beast! A great session IPA. This beer has a balanced mix of 3 varieties of hops, and is dry hopped for a week with Simcoe and Amarillo. Can you say Grapefruit? If you enjoy the hop characteristics of our DIPA but without that punch-in-the-mouth experience, look no further than Auld Knucker. 6% ABV, 92 IBUs.

Draft. Aroma is a little sweeter than their Kismet, but still has enough hoppy presence for an IPA. Mostly candid citrus with just enough grapefruit and resin and finished with a nice toffee sweetness. Flavor it’s extremely balanced. Grapefruit rind finishes a very toffee-like first impression. Very sticky and full-bodied. But sure I’d call this a session ipa, but it’s a very good beer

Draft sample. Poured clear dark amber color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid smooth resin hop and citrus aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation with soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew

650 ml bottle. Pours a translucent amber-copper color with a mid sized off-white head that has very good retention. The aroma is strong with resins, oranges, grapefruit and a touch of toffee. The flavor mirrors the nose, more oranges, grapefruit and resins set in toffee malt base. The palate is full, smooth and seemed a bit heavy--carbonation is lively. Finishes medium in duration with lingering bitter pine resins. Overall: Decent IPA, will drink again.

Taster at downtown Vista tasting room. Pours a orange yellow with a small off white head. Aroma is of citrus, pine, tropical fruits, and some sweet malts. Taste is similar and also includes some white wine grape notes and has a lot of pineapple flavor. Has a medium body with a creamy mouthfeel and a dry, well hopped, long finish. overall, a nice, hoppy, sessionable IPA from the ever improving Mother Earth.

I had this on tap at the brewery in Vista, CA. This was a solid India Pale Ale that was very tasty.

Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Smells like hop candy. Resiny taste of grassy citrus hops with a solid bitterness.

Pours hazy orange/yellow with a medium sized white head that leaves spider web lace. Smells good sweet and hoppy. Building sweet citrus flavors. Tastes a little underwhelming. Nice and hoppy, bitter/sweet and relatively clean, slightly watery. Light body, good carbonation.

On tap at brewery, a nice addition to the west coast style of IPA’a. Good carbonation, a lot of hop taste in the finish. It is a session IPA at only 6 percent so you can drink it all day! Good.
