COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There is something really intriguing about a beer that is light in color, yet still infused with huge aroma and flavor, isnít there? It deceives the senses in a pleasant, yet completely surprising way; tasting great beer tends to be like that. So much of what we "expect" to taste, influences our opinion even before we actually do the tasting. Today, we ask that you set any preconceived notions aside so that you can take in the unexpected. A simple grain bill of pils, light crystal, and a bit of wheat, combined with a vigorous hop dosing of Mosaic and Simcoe make this beer just bookoo enough. Just donít call it "too bookoo!"

Tasted on 10/6/14 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle purchased from Beverages 4 Less and shipped. Pours slightly hazy pale orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to a thick, bubbly collar and some bubbly spots. The nose is full of dank hops that are nicely balanced by some herbal grassy, resin, and citrus peel, with a bit of mallow and bread malt. The flavor has the faintest touch of sweet bread up front, moving to all of the same grassy, herbal, and touch of citrus hops from the nose, with a nice, but very balanced bitterness. The body is medium with a somewhat oily texture, average carbonation, and a long dank, citrus peel, and nicely bitter hops finish.

Hazy blond color with medium sized head. Strong aroma of pungent and citrusy hops. Dry but soft mouthfeel; lean malt flavor, with pungent and resiny hops. Powerful and balanced.
Easy to describe and just the perfect IPA; fresh and with delicate malt profile. A hop statement.

22oz bottle. Pours a golden yellow with a white head. Lighter in color than most IPAs. Citrus, crisp and refreshing. Good amount of bitterness. This is one of the best IPAs I've had. I wish I could get it more regularly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear, burnt yellow with medium carbonation. Nice piney, grassy nose. The mosaic really comes through on the nose. Itís got a light to medium bodied mouth feel with good carbonation. Itís pretty hop forward. The body of the flavor is made up of grassy hop and pils and then it becomes more piney on the tale end as the simcoe takes over. If finishes a bit sweet and sticky with hops lingering on the tongue. Overall, a great IPA from a great brewery. I can definitely see myself going back for more of this one.

A steady pour into my New Belgium globe glass produces a fat-two-finger thick, pale tan colored head. The beer is a light honey color that shows a mostly clear, pale amber tinged, bright golden hue when held up to the light. The aroma has a huge tropical fruit hop note to it that is redolent of guava, peach concentrate, lychee, pineapple, and peppery, perfectly ripe, almost tart kumquat zest. The nose is expressively hoppy and veritably jumps out of the glass.

The beer is pretty dry, though there is a light sweetness that is mostly accentuated by the ripe hop fruit character. The finish has a solid, biting bitterness to it that is accentuated by a peppery, herbal hop character that leans towards woody oils; this really lingers for . Notes of guava, lychee, and ripe tangelo zest up front yield to peppery, herbaceous, hemp-like, and pine needle leaning character, with the latter balancing out the former. This really finishes nice and light, there is just enough body to not allow the aggressive hop character to completely run rough-shod; eminently quaffable though, and one of those beers that can disappear way faster than you are expecting. The malt character plays barely a supporting role, as it should, a touch of hay like grain character and a suggestion of pale, cracker like malt.

This is a nicely fresh, aggressively hopped IPA; definitely hits my need for a hop fix, and it serves as a nice digestif for the Indian food I just ate.
