A clear, crisp beer, Kölsch offers a very slight fruity flavor and aroma. It is light gold in color, with a delicate head. This light-bodied beer appeals to nearly everyone who samples it. Expect to enjoy a slight tang in the finish.

12 ounce bottle thanks to footbalm. Pours a almost totally clear yellow color with a medium white head. A strong honey and malt nose. The flavor is earthy sweet honey touched malts. Very clean and crisp. Very nice. Enjoyable and quite drinkable.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of maniac. Thanks! Pours a clear golden color with a frothy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of grains and sweet honey notes. The taste is sweet malts, light grain and a grassy finish. Fairly clean. Medium bodied. Nice kolsch.

Low key with some grass and lemon in there. Bottle from Chips in Outer Banks, NC. Okay beer but lacks the crispness I associate with this style.

Bottle. Ehhh I like German beers a lot but this wasn’t blowing me away. Solid, but for some reason I’m not totally sure about it wasn’t the best thing ever. I’ll try it again.

Bottle at the Shenandoah Throwdown. Pours a clear yellow gold with a medium sized white head. Crackery and biscuit aromas, light grain. Light and crisp, more cracker coming through. Really good lawn mower beer.

Pours from the bottle a pale yellow with a tint of orange. The nose is sweet orange citrus, mouthfeel creamy, and the finish is clean and smooth, with a blend of floral hops and orange crush. I could drink a million of these. Wow, what a Kolsch.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2011 Bottle. I’m not a Kolsch fan, but this is a nice example of the style. It’s refreshing, grainy, and would work well as a mid-session palate-cleanser or yard brew. Well made even if not my thing. Rerate: this beer is making me a kolsch fan. Crisp, clean, excellent finish. The perfect "light" craft beer.

UPDATED: JUN 24, 2012 Float on the grainy tide of Endless River through a slightly hazy golden current whilst the frothy head forms ample eddies of thick white lace on the glassy shoreline. Aroma shows grassiness, cereal and a little cattiness. Slightly thin bodied with a lightly tart lemony finish. A good lawnmower beer and easy session brew. A little more hop character then others of its ilk.
