3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours nearly clear....pale yellow-gold....small white head.
Scent is grainy malt.
Taste is the same, slight sourness, a little lemon.
A bit of farmhouse fruitiness.
Pretty light, but pretty good.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured a slightly hazy golden color with a thin head. Aroma has grains and earthy notes. Taste is very crisp with grains and some biscuit. Some earthy hops in the finish with a slightly corny sweetness. Decent!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted on 8/20/12 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Bruisin’ Ales. Pours clear golden orange with an average white head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is light corny bread malt with nicely bitter hops and a bit of a dusty quality. The flavor is the same, very crisp, clean, and refreshing with a very nice lightly bitter hops bite. The body is light with average carbonation and a long, nicely bitter hops and hint of bread finish. This is a very nice Kolsch.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a golden color with a small head. Nice level of sweetness to it, but it doesn’t have much substance to it.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Virginia Trip – bottle 355 ml
Aroma soft with side crispness. Soft malt – dry top. Refreshing pleasant aroma. True Kolsch character shown.7+
Appearance proper, deep sunny gold. Medium bright white top. Some lace. 3+
Flavor and Palate : Medium bodied. Grainy slightly earthy mid. Mineral hop backing. Slight tartness at finish. Aroma was better than taste, lacking some crispness that is desired for that style.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
I recently tasted this very nice Kolsch in Greensboro at a beer festival and was liked it very much. The aroma was slight, but the taste was fresh, sweet and a nice finish. I will buy this ale and look forward to more tasting from Mother Earth.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow. very small head of fine bubbles. Nose is crisp with just a hint of hops and citrus. Just a touch sweet and mellow malty to go along with a mild hop kick. rather unsignificant mouthfeel. finishes with just a hint of lingering aftertaste that is hard to place.
