This DIPA is a bad ass. Straight up. It’s hopiness isn’t just limited to the floral nose or lingering bitterness but a full hop flavor all the way through your palate. We bitter with a Super Alpha, and follow it up with a few flavoring additions throughout the boil. A massive dry hop of Simcoe and Amarillo create a huge aroma profile that really comes through in a big way.

On tap at the source. Pours a hazy honey yellow, with a giant white head. Huge feathering. Aroma of hops, hops, and more hops. Flavors of grapefruit and apricots. Light sweetness. A well done beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A double IPA for a fortnight and a day. #1 Dark orange with an overly ample plumage. A bit troublesome with the consistency of the pour. Off metal and cardboard flavors emanating from the depths of the glass. A little bit of vague hop flavor. Kind’ve awful to put to my mouth. The oxidation of what may be a perfectly fine beverage. If that’s what they were going for, they did it well. I assume not, and I was unable to have more than one.

Bottle. No date. Must be fresh or they would bottle date it! Pours a deep golden to red with tan head. Aroma is of stale hops, honey comb and cereal. Taste is faded hops, muted citrus, honey malt and some cherry. I will never buy a bottle of this again. Might try it on draft to see if it is this bad fresh but probably not.

Short: An overly bitter, astringent DIPA

[ Mother Earth ][ Tap ][ 2oz ][ Taster ][ $1-2 ][ 1/25/14 ]
Long: Clear orange pour, great lacing. Nose is caramel, fresh citrus. Taste is quite bitter, nutty, aggressive bitterness. Some mash in hot liquor in the nose. Perfume oil, harsh palate.
Flaws: Raw grist nose, overly bitter and chemical

Bottle from Best Damn Beer Store. Pours light amber with a nice beige head and a citrus aroma. There is a medium-bodied sweet caramel malt flavor tempered with some serious hop bitterness.

From the bomber it has an amber color with a medium head. There is some citrus on the nose with some grassy notes. Taste has pine with more citrus. Nice finish.

Hazy amber orange color with a fluffy head, super juicy aromas with floral, pine hops. Grainy sunflower seed. medium body, average carbonation. Very nice tropical fruit flavors with floral, bitter piney hops in a solid brew. Yummy.
