4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle, sent to me by DocJitsu-- thanks Dennis! Shared with Grippitis and Parksy. Hazy light orange, creamy off white head. Zesty grapefruit and resinous pine in tremendous concentration, backed by malts that are more crackery than caramelly, making for a "hop-juice" kind of drinking experience. Substantially less sweet than the Great Divide Hercules that we shared alongside it. Fantastic.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Bev4Less. Let me just say, I met one of these guys at Bev4Less a few weeks ago... awesomely personable and knowledgeable. Good guy who makes good beer. Pours hazy golden. Decent amount of lacy white foam head. Bready malts, herbal and resiny hops, a little bit of cheesy and earthy yeast tones, and some banana funkiness that compliments rather than detracts. Medium sweet (a great sign for this style) medium bitter... yes, this is not heavy bitter, and well-balanced throughout the palate until... oops, the bitter end... but that came after a nearly 90 second delay. Impressive. Full body, creamy, somewhat sticky texture, lively carbonation and a nice, looong bitter finish. Really, really good beer. Nailing it guys. Now, keep it up.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a hazy copper with a one finger off white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, sweet toasted malts, caramel, and some toffee. Taste is of citrus peels (a lot of grapefruit and orange) pine, sweet toasted malts, caramel, some tofffee, and maybe some tropical fruit. Has a medium body with a slighty creamy mouthfeel, and a pretty bitter, slighty boozy, long finish. Overall, a pretty tasty DIPA that could use some more body and hide its ABV a little more.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
650 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a hazy copper color with a small white head that has good retention. The aroma is medium in strength with fresh citrus; oranges and tangerines mostly, followed up by a touch of toffee. The taste, like the aroma, is a big blast of citrus, lots of oranges, tangerines, grapefruit set nicely in mild caramel malt base. The palate is a bit on the lighter side but is appropriate for the style and the carbonation is lively. Finishes medium in duration and dry. Overall: Excellent IPA.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. Pours slightly hazy light gold color with a thick sticky head. Nice grassy aroma with notes of fresh cut grass and orange citrus. Straightforward DIPA flavor of lemon, orange and grapefruit citrus with the malt base subdued so as to keep the profile light and crisp. I prefer this approach to a good DIPA. bitterness is medium strength and fairly well balanced. Good carbonation with a refreshing palate. Very tasty. I look forward to trying more of M.E.ís brews

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Appeared as a dark and dense wild golden honey hue with a frothy topping of foam that left behind trails of lacing. Aroma jumps out with a bright smell of fruit and reminds me exactly of my memory of opening up a fruit roll up packet. Besides that dominate smell of the fruit there is notes of acidic citrus and wheaty bread malts that add structure to nose of this complex DIPA. The flavor follows suite with a taste of sour citrus juice along with an extremely fruity taste of sweet citrus fruits such as oranges and tangerines. The drink does deliver a strong dosage of hop pellets and bitter green buds oozing with oils and acids but this comes across as too astringent. Okay price but finish is salty and this is by no means on the same level as some of the other Imperial IPAís being made in San Diego.
