Our Old Neighborhood Oatmeal Porter will take you back to the good old days. This classic dark ale is rich and robust, yet silky smooth. Its distinct roasty essence is deliciously balanced with a slight sweetness creating a porter that boasts intense flavors.

This is a full-bodied porter that has a robust flavor of coffee, chocolate, and a slight hint of cherry.

12 oz bottle pours a brown color with an off white head. Aromas of roasted malt, nutty, some chocolate. Medium bodied, smooth, very nice.

Draught. This is a pretty generic porter that leaves a good bit to be desired. I would give it a miss.

Deep dark brown under a tan head. Roast malt and cocoa aroma. The flavor is simple and straight forward. Lightly sweet, some roast malt bitterness to balance it. A bit thin. Maybe more disappointed because Iíve had a few others that were much better and I expected more from ME.

An interesting oatmeal stout. Pours a dark brown, with a brown head. Smell is strange, a little hit of vinegar, almost like green olives. Taste is smooth and a little sweet, but a little boring. Leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste. Not bad, but not great either. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep brown pour orange hue ... thin off white head that was quickly diminishing ... aroma of caramel, roasted and chocolate malts .... taste is of roasted and caramel malts with a little burnt bitter flavor .... finishes dry and roasted with a nice light bitter bite ... mouthfeel is a little silky and slick .... simple porter decent

12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Bottled On: "100412"

Appearance: Pours a very dark brown body with a medium-small, light beige head.

Smell: A nose of coffee-hinted roast, oats, bakerís chocolate aaanndd, well thatís it. Not alot going on here, aromawise.

Taste: Roasted malts, some nutty oak flakes, and the bakerís chocolate all carrying over from the aroma. Fairly light on the sweetness. Low dark fruitiness. Minor hop character and imparted bitterness. Semi-dry finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Itís certainly not the creaminess thing on the block.

Overall: A little bland, a little ho-hum. Itís certainly not Mother Earthís best effort to date.

Bottle--nice, black color with a small, fizzy, black head. The aroma was a bit shy, but roast malts appeared about halfway through the beer. The flavor was a bit coy with oats, coffee and some chocolate. Nice, understated style, but very likeable. Bruisin Ales.
