Made with hops grown in the good ’ol USA... you’ll proudly support American farmers when you drink beer! Light copper in color, it has an intense hop aroma and strong hop bitterness. Our hopback process uses fresh hop cones to take this IPA to unexpected placed. Prepare for a mouthful of flavor.

On tap at Cedars in Penn Quarter in Washington, DC. Hazy amber with an off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of malt, light fruit, caramel, floral hops and light citrus. Taste of caramel, intense floral hops, light fruit and mild citrus. Medium body and medium/low carbonization. I found this to be an odd IPA. It was very bitter, but without either the citrus/pine intensity nor a tropical fruit hoppiness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not a big fan of this IPA. The bready malts and the metallic fruits were confusingly mingled. Tried this at the DC beerfest with Jess, Mark, and Matt in 2014.

Some citrus and some sweet malt but comes together with a tinge of acridness that puts me off. On tap at DC Summerfest.

A mild taste with a mild IPA flavor. Builds in the middle with a slight pine. Finishes with a lingering light hoppy taste when you inhale. Perfect when you want more than. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Kind of strange, but I can't put my finger on it. Not like other IPA's that I like, but overall, just ok... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ home, thanks to jcnielsen. Pours a cloudy yellow orange appearance with a cream colored head. Tropical fruity, a bit woody, a bit papery aroma. A little twangy. Kind of dusty / cardboard-y flavor. Plenty of citrus. Moderate to high sweetness. High bitterness. Not in the best shape but I’m still not a huge fan.

A gift from a local for local trade, this was a very nice IPA with East Coast roots. While not my favorite example of the style it had a few signs of promise. If you are looking for the best this is not it. However if you want to compare how different regions interpret a ubiquitous style pick one up.

Aroma / Appearance - A frothing head creates a little concern before it begins to settle into a transparent bronze foundation. Rye, earthy grasses, lemon zest, and laid back summer breezes give this the air of a casual afternoon sitting on the porch.

Flavor / Palate - Rye, dusty floor polish, and sourdough emerge with an intent to leave a memorable mark on the palate. The bitter transition carries them towards a finish of crushed walnuts, crusty bread, and resin. Something about the whole experience feels a bit disjointed. With many potential highlights the overall result never comes together in a cohesive manner. I’m glad to have tried this one but in the future I think I’ll stick to other styles from Mother Earth.

Bottle into shaker. Very cloudy copper color. Aroma is malty caramel, floral and honey hops. Taste is malty up front, spicy in the middle and long bitter finish. Medium body, sticky, soft carbonation, long finish. Great example of a micro IPA.
