Hazy golden pour. Light floral aroma. Nice carmel malt backbone and crisp bitter hop finish. Some citrus in the nose and finish.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Appalachian vintner. Pours dark orange without much aroma. Had about 1/4 inch of white foam that leaves some lacing. Los of citrus and pine on the tongue. Finishes clean. Solid for style.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy amber appearance with an average size, off white head and a fair amount on lacing. Muted, floral hop aroma with sweet malts in the background. Role reversal in the taste. Sweet caramel malts are in the forefront and various hop flavors bolster the aftertaste. Medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel with a lingering finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a golden color with minimal head. Not a lot of aroma to this one, though I can get a faint whiff of hops. Decent hoppiness to the taste, though it’s not too strong.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Such a drinkable IPA! There is all the hops you need and a nice balance with the malts too. The hops bitterness is occasionally a little metalic, but mostly its just a firm earthiness. Fairly clean taste.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Originally reviewed: 4/13/10. 12oz bottle poured into my pint glass. Pours a cloudy dark gold. There’s a large bone-white head billowing on the top. Retains well; leave lost of sticky lace on the glass. Scents of flowers, tart citrus zest, some light pepper, and bread. The body is creamy with moderate depth. Carbonation level is good. This is a pretty spicy IPA overall. Some white pepper at the onset. Definitive bittering hops in the middle. There’s a bit of honey finish on the sips. Aftertaste is on the spicy side as well. Not a bad IPA by any means. I like it. A little different than my go-to IPAs, but that’s not a bad thing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Grassy hop nose, somewhat stale. Cloudy amber, medium yellow head, full of floaties. Overripe orange, stale grassy hops. Hints of apricot come and go, particularly in the end. Bottled on date is 110311, so it doesn’t appear to stand the test of time very well.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Bruisin Ales. Pours orange amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is fruit/floral over mildly roasted caramel. Med body. Flavor is quite hoppy - but it’s fruit and floral, not harsh resin. Could be some citrus. It is full of hop. There’s some rough caramel in the backbone, but it’s all about the hop.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. The pour was a cloudy golden amber with a slight yellow hue and an average sized (1-2 finger) white frothy head that was mostly lasting, receding to a large collar and large cap of foam thus creating some good sticky lacing.
The aroma was mild and had a slight fruitiness to it with straw malts, a floral hop and a moldy yeast with notes of caramel, toffee and citrus (grapefruit and orange peel).
The taste was ever so lightly sweet and a tad bitter with a hint of caramel at first, and then progressed into this extremely bitter flavor that was also a bit sour and had a note of grapefruit with a mildly sweet orange taste at the end. The flavor lingered for an average duration with the sweetly hoppy fruity flavor settling nicely on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was a few steps above light in body with a good dry texture and a lively carbonation.
Overall a very well balanced IPA that had the mix of fruit and hops blending extremely well...
