3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 gonzosauce (133) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAY 15, 2013
Hazy light gold. Hay and earth backing up resin-forward hops. Smells balanced. Tastes balanced too, with the resin taking the strongest presence an hanging around while it sweetens a bit into the palate. Missing the crispness, and that hurts the palate - it gets real one-dimensional real quick. It’s the better side of a beer, relying on the simplicity of efficient hops and more than satisfactory balance.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 woodychevy (96) - - APR 17, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 12, 2013 Bottle, dajio, Ocracoke. a nice suprise- haven’t been a huge fan of this brewery so far. Pours a light copper with a thin white somewhat wimpy-didn’t quite come to the party- head. taste is all caramel and sweet at first followed by a decent hoppiness. something different in the hops here- good and makes one ponder. only issue with this one is the finish- not quite balanced- a bit bitter at the end. without the bitterness would have rated in the 4 range. good ipa- will have again.
May 12/ 13. More bitter than I remember- served slightly warmer and bitterness in the first taste and on the finish. definitely prefer the hoppyum on tap at dajio to this offering. probably better paired with something assertive in the food department.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 strap (334) - honolulu, Alabama, USA - APR 12, 2013
Cloudy amber. Earthy hops, not as strong as a lot of IPAs. Decent enough, but I usually like a little more of a kick with an IPA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Foxbush (984) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - FEB 23, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2013 Draft at the taproom. On the way to visit our family, we stopped to taste some new beer. I tried their hopped beers first. This is their regular IPA. The color was light gold and clear. The aroma was mild citrus. Nice texture with average carbonation. Their is a tingle on the tongue while drinking and at the finish.
