4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
16 ounce pint - $6.50 at Taco Mac in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Served up a pale golden body, quite hazed, with a smallish, white, though never-ending head. After knocking out a few handwritten notes, then, firing up the laptop and connecting to the pesky WiFi here, it is still there, the head. After a round of asinine texts from my ex-fiancee, it’s still there, still going strong (presumably all day long).
Smell: No-doubt-about-it malted wheat, with supporting, expected notes of bananas, cloves, and lemon chiffon pie filling.
Taste: Staunchly wheaty, with a big kick of twangy wheat and sweetness akin to whipped cream sweetened with powdered sugar. Banana puree cut with whole milk and spiced lightly with a bit of ground clove. Touch of lemon akin to a taste of Lemonheads before you hit the sour core. Light hop character, lightly bitter. The cream and 10x powdered sugar come back before the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Creamyish mouthfeel throughout.
Overall: Seriously, like a hour later, the head has not diminished in size. Large on the wheat character, but a very promising hefe.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy yellow color with minimal lacing. Musky nose with hints of coriander and lemon. Crisp palate up front with a mellow and smooth finish. Ideal beer for summer consumption and use of a can only makes it more appealing.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
From can into Boston Lager glass. Decent pour; cloudy orange yellow with thin, but persistent, white head. Very candy-like banana-bubblegum aroma; lacks some depth/subtlety. Flavor a bit sweet, body a bit thin. Fine attempt at the style, but it’s hard to beat the German masters.

Can: The aroma consists of lemon, banana, apple, faint clove, and a touch of sulfur. It pours a slightly hazy gold with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with light lemon and banana. The finish has light apple and a hint of sulfur.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium yellow with an average sized (1-2 finger) white frothy head that diminished quickly, down to a very thin layer and a small collar of residue producing some fair streaky lacing.
The aroma was of a straw malt and a sweaty yeasty with notes of banana, citrus (lemon and maybe a little orange) and a hint of clove.
The taste was mildly sweet with a strong wheat presence from the beginning and then progressed with a big note of citrus and a mild hint of spice at the end. The flavor lasted only a short time and was refreshingly citrusy.
Mouthfeel was light in body with a mild creamy watery texture and had a good strong carbonation.
Overall this brew is a very light Hefeweizen that has a nice low ABV. I found it to be a very refreshing brew, which would be great for those days hanging out on the boat on a hot summer’s day...

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz can. Cloudy straw color with a medium white head and some particulate matter hanging around at the bottom. Typical hefeweizen aroma with wheaty banana and clove notes. Pretty standard flavor, not at all unpleasant, but if you can picture a mill, this would more or less be the run of it. Slightly dry finish with clove and wheat notes. Medium-light body with soft carbonation. Not particularly good, but does the trick if you want a decent beer of this style.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Baby food banana and peach nose with a certain rice character, good strength. Milky yellow, thin head. Flavor is still rice-like. A more typically lemony american wheat flavor predominates, but banana notes can be detected. No cloves. True enough to style, but only barely.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can from Appalachian Vintner. Pours very clear yellow with a thin head. Not much on the nose except a slight clove vibe. Not a ton on the tongue. Finishes with a bit of dryness. Not really feeling this one on any discernible level.

12 ounce can from Whole Foods Market Raleigh. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium sized frothy head that fades quickly. Aroma of big yeast and citrus notes with some breadiness and spice. The taste is pineapple, citrus, bread, yeast, spice and a bit of caramel. Medium bodied. Nice hefe.
