3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 radio_nowhere (418) - Maryland, USA - OCT 27, 2012Bomber I got from brewery a few weeks ago after the tour. Poured into Trappist glass, gold-amber color with beige head. Aroma of floral and fruity Belgian yeast, oak and booze. Taste is sweet, spicy, light bourbon, some caramel and alcohol. Medium body and soft. Finish is dry and warming. I like it.

Pours a hazy light amber color with very little head on it. Light nose, I find, with just a bit of the Belgian yeast notes in there. Taste is light and smooth with just a bit of sweetness, and relatively characteristic of the style.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle.
Aroma: sweet pilsner malts, vanilla, apple
Appearance: poured golden with a white head
Taste: bourbon, butter scotch-I do not think it is diacetyl.
Overall: an interesting barrel aged triple

Thanks jwale73 for sharing! Pours a hazy honey color with a loose ring of light tan head. Smell is yeast, fruit and honey. The taste follows the nose with some alcohol and then finishes dry. Medium body, smooth with light carbonation. A nice and tasty sipper.

Amber in color, hazy with a thin head. Big Belgian yeast aromalots of eshters and big malt. This was zingy with some light fruit flavors and a dry finish.

Tap at Mellow Mushroom. Pours cloudy orange amber with nice off white head leaving some lacing. Aroma yeasty, spicy, fruity, floral and malty. Flavor is malty, fruity, a bit sweet, some yeast, spicy, caramel, toasted, warming alcohol and bitter. Finishes spicy malty and slightly dry with some tones of alcohol.

Originally reviewed: 5/6/10. Another new one from Mother Earth! Yay!
12oz bottle with a bottled date of 4/10 stamped on the side. Poured into a goblet.
This pours a very murky orange/gold with a thin off-white head on the top. This dissipates to just a ring on the edge. Leaves the lightest of lace on the glass edge. Big scents of fresh-cut pineapple, Belgian yeast, dough, and grass. This smells pretty inviting.
The body is crisp per the style, but not overly so. Mellows out at the end. Some mild tartness at the onset, but this is a fairly bready Tripel. Very smooth flavors. Nothing harsh about this at all. Some light citrus zest in there. Sitting at 9.0% ABV, I thought the alcohol may be a bit more prominent, but it is undetectable in the flavor. This is as drinkable as a 9.0% beer can be. I dig it.

750 from Bruisin Ales. Orange body. But lacks all the aroma and taste of a Tripel. Instead, big bourbon taste dominates. Not sure it works here. Feels a bit unbalanced with high alcohol. Not a mess, and drinkable on a cool night. But overpriced.
