COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’ve crafted our Belgian-Style Tripel with honor to the Belgian Trappist Monks who perfected this notoriously smooth and balanced brew and leaked the secret to outsiders just a half century ago. This is a complex sipping beer that offers amazing zest yet finishes smooth and sweet.

Bottle. Brown pour with tan head. Banana clove with some malt and sweet aromas. Mildly sweet flavor are accented with light spice and fruit tones.

750 from Bruisin Ales. Orange body. But lacks all the aroma and taste of a Tripel. Instead, big bourbon taste dominates. Not sure it works here. Feels a bit unbalanced with high alcohol. Not a mess, and drinkable on a cool night. But overpriced.

12 ounce bottle thanks to Spencer. Pours a clear copper/golden color with a small white head. The aroma is dominated by sweet apples and honey. A fairly old tasting beer with rich fruit, apples and light spices, sweet, somewhat dry, very refreshing and easy to drink.

Middle of the roared beer. Drinkable for it’s alcohol content at 9 percent.

[355ml bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk] Hazy gold, with a thin lacing. Big alcohol aroma, quite oily on the palate. Tastes pretty much like grain alcohol – big burn at the back of the throat when it goes down. Very strong. Flavours of bourbon, yeast, spices and big, beefy booze. Really didn’t sit well with me at all [15042011]

Bottle at home ... light amber ... thin white head ... sweet yeasty sugery malt nose ... light syruppy body ... sweet yeasty .. heavy alcohol ... hint of motor oil ... man there bourbon in this... im not getting any borboun ... but the alcohol is clearly there ... on hunting there is some coconut hints often in a bourbon beer ... but its not working for me at all

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a tight white head. The aroma is malty like the back of a homebrew shop, lots of raw malt character... which is really a nice smell if you ask me. The bouquet also features a good bit of spice and some fairly subdued alcohol. The flavor is spicy and malty, lightly sweet up front but spice and bitterness balances that out fairly quickly. The warming alcohol fits in well, but this beer again is all about clean malt flavor including (but not limited to) honey, chocolate (odd as that is it works really well here), and a bit of raw graininess. This is an exciting and original interpretation of this style indeed.

Hazed orange pour with no head or lace. Aroma of sour brown sugar and paper. Abv and sweet caramel malt. Medium bodied with good carbonation.
