This beer style is over 400 years old, and continues to enjoy overwhelming popularity. Offering low hop bitterness, it is easy to enjoy. It pours very hazy, with a light gold color... we say it’s like summertime in a glass. Bitter orange peel and fresh coriander add zest and depth to this light, refreshing beer.

A pretty big nose with a lot of esters - lemony sourness and pastry yeastiness. The mouthfeel was right on - rich, meaty, nicely carbonated. Citrusy sourness dominates the flavor profile. Generally a crisp finish, but with the minor flaw of going a bit pasty. Thanks to LuckyDog for bringing this back from his NC trip.

Pours bright yellow with a thin wispy white head. Visible yeast but no haze or cloudiness. Notes of orange peel, yeast, pear, white grape and wheat. Medium bodied, yeasty with lush carbonation.

12oz bottle from Chip’s in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Hazy golden in color with a one-finger white head, decent lacing, and some sediment floating in the beer. Floral and wheaty aroma, with rather subdued Belgian yeast and a good citrus and spice note to it. The flavor is rather perfumy and floral, with subtle wheat malt, orange peel, and coriander. Nicely balanced. Fairly smooth on the mouthfeel with average carbonation. A solid if not inspirational witbier overall.

Surprisingly good. Medium bodied with a nice wheat malt backing. Light cinnamon spiciness. Didn’t taste the orange. Well balanced. Some yeast in the finish.

Bottle from Chip the Beer Guy and a pretty solid wit which nicely balances coriander, orange peel and spices. Mouthfeel had medium texture and good amount of carbonation to boot. Good summer wit.

12 oz. bottled 05-10. Hazy golden with a lasting disc of foam. Nose of acidic yeast, citrus, light resin. Flavor is wheat, zesty orange-lemon, pear, clove, coriander and bubblegum. Medium body is tingly and refreshing. One of the better American takes on the Witbier style.

Bottle. The description says, "It pours very hazy"...my bottle poured completely clear, absolutely not haze. A bit of an off aroma with some sourness and mold hiding a nice dough scent. Tastes better than it smells with citrus, rice, and yeast. Finishes with sour and a bit of hops. This ones pretty easy to drink, though I gotta say I’m not impressed with how it smells or looks. (This one needs to be rerated...it’s an old bottle I’ve had around too long.)

12 oz bottle - poured a hazy gold with a decent head and nice lacing throughout. Aromas of wheat, lemon, yeast, coriander and some spruce. Flavors of wheat, yeast, lemon and coriander - exactly what I expected from the aroma - no disappointment there. Body was light, crisp and very refreshing. I really like the beers coming out of the this local brewery.
