This beer style is over 400 years old, and continues to enjoy overwhelming popularity. Offering low hop bitterness, it is easy to enjoy. It pours very hazy, with a light gold color... we say itís like summertime in a glass. Bitter orange peel and fresh coriander add zest and depth to this light, refreshing beer.

12 oz bottle - poured a hazy gold with a decent head and nice lacing throughout. Aromas of wheat, lemon, yeast, coriander and some spruce. Flavors of wheat, yeast, lemon and coriander - exactly what I expected from the aroma - no disappointment there. Body was light, crisp and very refreshing. I really like the beers coming out of the this local brewery.

Bottle from Bruisiní poured into a tulip glass. This looks really light for a witbier. Itís solid yellow and hazy, not as cloudy as I would expect. A decent white head forms on top. I lean in to take a whiff: uh-oh. This smells like Budweiser a little bit. Notes of corn and newspaper with compost undertones are found, though I can tell this is a wit by aroma alone since there are some obvious citrus and banana scents as well. The flavor isnít as rough as I anticipated. Itís light with refreshing citrus notes and weak spices. That same newspaper/Bud thing is going on but not as strong. This bares strong resemblance to Blue Moon.

Bottle poured a hazy gold with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of wheat, yeast, coriander and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, yeast, coriander and orange zest with a crisp lingering coriander finish.

Pours a light straw color with nice carbonation and little to no head. The nose is orange zest, honey and a nice earthy wheat backdrop. Easy drinking with citrus and grain flavors. Maybe a little light but a nice summer beer. Finishes clean.

12 oz. bottle from Fresh Market in Greenville, NC. Light golden yellow pour with a thin, creamy white head. Aroma of tart orange and lemon, green apples, bready yeast, and coriander. Flavor of orange peel, a hint of bubblegum, and spices. Very light. A good witbier.

How come some wits have a whiff of blueberry, even when there is no blueberry in them? Does anybody know? Anyone? Anyway, this was very tasty - a little bit of coriander, some orange, and the aforementioned blueberry. Enjoyable.

Yellow pour with a fizzy white head. I get some herbal tea aroma with some spices and a bit of fruit. Flavor is a bit watery and lightly fruity with some spice. Meh.

Courtesy of durhambeer. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a sustained white head. Nose reveals coriander, cloves, wheat, oranges and ginger. Tastes of wheat and some tarte lactic hints with a mild spicy element on the finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours a very light hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is lemon zest, lightly spicy coriander is moderate-some orange peel, and doughy wheat. Flavor is clean at first, gets a tad bit soapy with lemon and orange, coriander is light, phenolic spice, some clove and clean wheat- mostly clean and crisp finish.
