COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gold Road is a session Kölsch style ale with a biscuit malt body that finishes with hints of pear and apple in the flavor and aroma. This is a crisp, refreshing ale for any season!

Draft at Alice Cooperstown while visiting: pours a light copper color. Light. Easy drinking. Nothing special but good for a hot day

This doesn't taste like a kolsch. And I don't think it is. Mild boring no head and no aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, as part of a huge blondes/golds blind tasting (27 beers total). Medium gold, average white head. Grainy, very light fruity notes, clean. Rather boring, but inoffensive.

12oz brown bottle. Clear yellow colour. Small creamy cap and light lace spots left in the glass. Aromas of malt with a light fruity note. Taste - grains and light fruit. Light finish, maybe some grassy notes there. Body is suitably light and it has fairly strong carbonation, so there’ a bit of a refreshing factor to it. Not a lot to say about this one... was hoping for something better.

Notes of biscuit nutty notes grass bread. Gold pour thin to no head. Flavors of biscuit and nutty notes grass lemon corn. Lingering biscuit with lemon hoppiness. Easy to drink I guess.

From a 12 oz bottle is a clear gold color with a slight head. The aroma is malty and the taste has hints of metal and finishes with a bread dough quality

From a 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Flavors of bread. Crisp finish.

355ml bottle pours a clear golden color with a finger of white head that settles down to leave a few spots of lace on the glass. Aroma is mild with light fruit and grains. Taste is a light spicy and grassy hop bitterness with a light fruity and malty sweetness. A slight grainy mouth feel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Overall, this is a little bit sweet for the style and could use a bit more of the spicy hops.

12oz bottle. Doesn’t smell impressive...grainy, dry, cheap. This is a pretty weak offering. Inexpert brewing, mild off tones. Buttery, grainy, certainly captures none of the sublime tones of the style. Definitely wouldn’t get this again, and would be traumatized had I picked up a sixpack. Avoid unless you are a serious ticker.

0,5l on tap @ Hacienda del Rio. Pours clear chestnut with a low head. Aroma is malts. Flavor is nutty malts with some hops. Decent, but not really Kölsch type. Did I get the beer I ordered?
