Big and hoppy and pleasantly bitter, Doozy is a Double IPA crafted for hop lovers by hop lovers. At every stage of the brewing process, we saw another chance to add more coveted Citra hops. The result is a medium-bodied, deep-golden beer thatís knock you back bold from start to finish. Did we mention the hops?

Bottle at home with Susan. Pours a dark amber/orange. Large off-white head. Aroma is strong citrus - mostly grapefruit, and lots of sweet malt/toffee. Flavor is very bitter citrus - biting into a grapefruit rind, and lots of malt. Didnít seem smooth and balanced, though. Bitterness was too high for the flavors. Drinkable, but didnít really enjoy it.

Bottle from ReedM. Pours hazy orange gold with an off-white head. Aroma is pretty citra. Med+ body. Caramel is a bit heavy, but the hop can handle it. Finishes citrus rind with somewhat sweet malt. Very frontrunner.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours blonde with a tick fluffy white head and a strong citrus aroma. There is a full-bodied caramel malt flavor with lots of carbonation and a very bitter finish. Tastes West Coast.

Bottle @ RBSG 2014 Grand Tasting. Orange pour with a white head. Light haziness. Aroma has some decent orange peel and pine to it, but lots of caramel malt and bread. Some floral and grapefruit notes, too. Flavor is too sweet for me. Lots of orange and caramel. Toasted bread, some grapefruit, and a light pine and grass bitterness.

Bottle from Keir, thanks buddy! Big golden pour with lots of white foamy head and plenty of lacing. Big Aroma of citrus, mangos, pine, and tropical fruit. Taste is assertive hops, followed by sticky malty sweetness, towards the finish there is some citrus, finishes crisp and bitter. This is really well balanced for DIIPA, lots of assertive hop character, mixed in nicely with some tropical malty sweetness. Well done!

Bottle split with Travlr. Gold pour with a small head. Hot tropical fruit salad. Papaya, passionfruit. Sea salt. Grapefruit meat. Taste is pretty slick and hot. More tropical fruits, bright citrus. Pretty restrained malt character. Honey. Medium body, syrupy. Solid.

Got a bottle from a nice trade. Pours a clear bright orange color with a foamed white head. Aroma is like a sugared cereal. Almost like a frosted flakes aroma. Very unique. A very strong citrus factor right up front. Taste matches the aroma with that unique note. Makes it a really unique brew. Very drinkable. Donít even notice the 9% abv. Definitely wouldnít mind getting more.

A slightly hazy dark golden with an off white head that settles to a film and leaves good lacing. Aroma is dank and resinous with some tropical fruit and caramel. Taste is also dank and resinous with pineapple sweetness and citrus rind bitterness. Slight alcohol apparent and some caramel malt. Finishes with a little sweetness and bitterness. Mouthfeel is somewhat oily with a medium body and medium/high carbonation. Good but a bit too resinous and sweet for my taste.
