Sweet chocolatey malt with forward cinnamon in aroma. Interesting. Dark reddish brown with beige head. Some lacing. Taste is kind of all over after the first general cinnamon flavor. Peppers come through on the back end. Its an ok beer.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malts and not much else. Flavor is about the same, dark malt with none of the peppers showing up just yet. The heat from the peppers doesnít show itself until your almost finished with the beer. Not a great effort from a brewer that does some really cool things.

Bottle pour, rich brown color with tan head.Aroma of cinnamon with very, very subtle cocoa. Taste of more cinnamon with some of the peppery heat right on the tail end and throughout the aftertaste. Not terrible, but not Motherís best.

Given all the interesting elements added to this beer, itís surprisingly non-aromatic. I do detect some cinnamon, but not cocoa or peppers. Not much head, lacing, or appearance, either. Palate is watery. Cinnamon hits through again, but where are these cocoa nibs? Pepper doesnít hit until the finish, either, and itís just the heat, not the flavor. Love Motherís, but this is disappointing. I would have thought this as a generic pumpkin ale with some heat. Nothing more.

Nice pepper notes without being too spicy but would need more chocolate to taste like a molť.

Clear brown pour with light tan head. Nose is ancho peppers and charcoal, chipolte. Rather bland flavor, watery mouthfeel, slightly astringent, lingering heat on the palate. Is OK.

Murky dark brown pour. Off white head. Aroma is a little blunted, borderline stale. Soft cocoa and cinnamon. Taste not quite as bold as I anticipated but fairly decent. Light cocoa, heavy cinnamon. Pepper heat starts slim at the back end but warms during the finish. Not bad.

Hazy brown with a cream head. Nose is stale malts, cardboard, and sour. Not much on the palate, cardboard, no pepper, not sure this is the best example

Peppers. Don't like this at all. Pepper of this sort don't belong in beer. Had this with Brent at a tasting.

The light aroma of this beer combines toasted malts, chocolate, and a slight pepper scent, and the appearance combines a hazy brown color with a small off white head. The taste of this beer combines a mildly sweet, slightly sour, touch spicy, and a touch umami flavors, and the palate combines a medium body, a lively carbonation with a bite, thin texture, and abrupt finish.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear brown with a decent tan head. Aroma of malt and spice. Taste is malt, cinnamon, chocolate, and some hint of peppers. Interesting.
