Youíre in for a helluva burly bite with this one. Motherís India Pale Ale is aggressively hopped in both the wort kettle and aging vessel for a sharp, clean bitterness and fragrant citrus hop flavors. Weíve instilled a mellow malt character as the backbone to balance the elevated alcohol and hop levels IPA lovers crave. Whether youíre an IPA loyalist or just sampling, youíve found yourself a great beer. So spend some quality time with Motherís Lilí Helper.

On tap in Columbia MO at the Stadium Grill. Dark gold with a thin white head. Aroma if citrus and malt. Flavours of grass and bitter hops, but smooth. Not harsh bitterness. Finish is strangely sweet and bitter at the same time. Body is nicely thin; not too thin for the style.

Bottle(s) from a sixer bought @ Gomerís midtown in KC and then pounded in our La Quinta hotel room after a 9 hour drive. Poured into styrofoam hotel room cups. Nice light gold pour, real fluffy white head. Aroma of grass, sugar, orange, grapefruit, bubblegum. Taste is grapefruit, grass, lemon zest, a bit of soap, sweet without being too sugary or sticky. Real easy drinking on a warm day.

[Bottle] Pours copper in color with a small white head. Piney bitterness up front in the nose. A good amount of hop bite in the taste too. Highly carbonated. Noticeable alcohol. The alcohol mixes with a grainy astringency to leave a dry and somewhat harsh finish. Just OK in my mind. Tasting notes from 11/2011.

Good IPA. Strong citrus and floral hop aroma. Golden to amber color with what appeared to be substantial carbonation. Crisp clean palate that matched the carbonation to the bitterness. More citrus hop flavor with a subtle malt background that balanced without much sweetness. Good drinkiní beer.

Looks great, but not much at all in the aroma. Taste is slightly better but still pretty bland for an IPA. Good mouth feel. Enjoyable, just not a world class IPA.

A clear copper beer with a medium off-white head. The aroma is resinous hops and tropical fruit. The flavor is the same with a slightly tart finish.

A semi dark golden color with a finger of white head that leaves a swirling of head. A dank smell with pine. Taste is also dank and resinous, with a little bit of caramel malt towards the end. A decent hop bitter that's smooth. A little bit of citrus but it's mostly the pine and dankness. Not too bad of a drinker alcohol isn't apparent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a pretty good IPA from middle America. Clear amber with a frothy off white head. Big citrus aroma is both pleasant and typical of Pacific Northwest hops. Body seems to be mostly base and bread malts. No caramel flavor detected. Bitterness is sufficient and the finish is refreshing.
