Youíre in for a helluva burly bite with this one. Motherís India Pale Ale is aggressively hopped in both the wort kettle and aging vessel for a sharp, clean bitterness and fragrant citrus hop flavors. Weíve instilled a mellow malt character as the backbone to balance the elevated alcohol and hop levels IPA lovers crave. Whether youíre an IPA loyalist or just sampling, youíve found yourself a great beer. So spend some quality time with Motherís Lilí Helper.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy light golden amber with a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is biscuity malts and sugary candied tropical fruits and a little resiny hops.

The flavor is sweet vegetal biscuity malts and some ripe tropical fruit with a resiny grassy hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, an OK IPA. I donít really care for the mix of flavors.

Fast becoming one of my favorite Midwest Coast IPAs - bold citrusy hops peek through an otherwise crisp and balanced flavor profile. Medium texture with a thick persistent head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Has a nice clean flavor thatís not overly bitter. Good amount of citrus hop bite, not overdone, well balanced with a nice malty backbone. Tastes is much lighter than the 7% abv.

Clear, amber-gold with a rocky, white head. It has a citrus hop aroma with a little herbal mixed in. The body is light and somewhat creamy with average carbonation. The taste is mildly bitter with a slightly sweeter, smooth finish.

12oz served in a Sam Adams perfect pint glass. A - A crystal clear amber body with a moundy off-white head. Average retention with very little lacing. S - Sweet Mandarin orange, bready malt, hints of green grass. T - Nice caramel/toffee malt, slightly roasted, doughy bread, sweet tangerines, very light green pine in the background. The pine picks up and starts building bitterness around the edges of the tongue finishing bitter with a kiss of citrus and honey sweetness. M - Very smooth and creamy feel, medium soft carbonation, crisp finish. Not super complex but this is one of the smoothest drinking IPAís Iíve had. It was hard to drink it slow. Good all around. I would definitely drink this again. Serving type: bottle 09-25-2012
