COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Youíre in for a helluva burly bite with this one. Motherís India Pale Ale is aggressively hopped in both the wort kettle and aging vessel for a sharp, clean bitterness and fragrant citrus hop flavors. Weíve instilled a mellow malt character as the backbone to balance the elevated alcohol and hop levels IPA lovers crave. Whether youíre an IPA loyalist or just sampling, youíve found yourself a great beer. So spend some quality time with Motherís Lilí Helper.

Poured from bottle into snifter, classic orange IPA look, biting aroma (a good thing). This is a "mid" west coast IPA, and it honestly has a unique spin on it. Quite sharp, clean, bright with some citrus. I like this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2014 Had this one on draft, going on memory. I liked it because for all the IPA’s that try to overwhelm you with hops, this one is just refreshing and well made. I didn’t find it bitter at all. I’m a hop head but appreciated how this one is made. I could drink a bunch of these.

Light copper with a small white head. The aroma is that of grapefruit, pine, and caramel malt. The flavor is similar. Pretty easy drinking and has a fairly balanced finish. Pretty decent.

Grapefruit pronounced throughout. Amber-gold with full white head. Overt grapefruit and cracker backing. Moderate high bitterness.

Pours golden with a thin white lacing head. Grapefruit nose with a clean start in the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a light amber with a thin off white head. Aroma has an alcohol sweetness to it. Good carbonation on the tongue, at first, then itís gone. Taste is more like a Scottish ale, or an old ale to me rather than an IPA. The finish disappears so quickly itís almost non-existent.

I love IPAs but some can leave a really strong after-taste. This beer smells good, tastes good but doesn't stick around longer than invited. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a pretty decent IPA. It is orange and slightly cloudy and has a large long-lasting head or mixed bubbles. It is slightly sweet and sticky with lots of mandarin orange, pine and melon. It has creamy carbonation and the sweetness is balanced w/ firm bitterness in the finish. Personally, I prefer my IPAs a bit drier but as this is brewed as a midwest IPA--which I take to mean itís in the style of Bellís Two Hearted--it pretty much hits the mark dead on.

Copper color, dissipating white head. Nice hoppy smell with caramel undertows. Easy on the taste buds, no bitterness, almost slightly sweet.
