You’re in for a helluva burly bite with this one. Mother’s India Pale Ale is aggressively hopped in both the wort kettle and aging vessel for a sharp, clean bitterness and fragrant citrus hop flavors. Sweet citrusy, floral smell. Taste sweet and fruity. Medium bitterness. There are better single IPAs but there are also worse. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 11/8/2012. Pours slightly hazy orange amber color with a nice 2 finger dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, orange zest, floral, orange rind, pineapple, bread, light honey, and herbal earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of hop notes. Taste of tangerine, grapefruit, orange zest, floral, orange rind, pineapple, pine, bread, honey, and herbal earthiness. Fair amount of piney citrus bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, pineapple, floral, citrus rind, bread, pine, light honey, and herbal on the finish for a good bit. Good balance and complexity of hop notes; with a good hop/malt balance; and minimal cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a nice IPA. Good hop complexity and malt balance; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Pours hazy orange with a small white head that left some lacing. The Aroma was nice with a lot of citrus, notably grapefruit. The taste was similar with grapefruit most prominent and I think I got some peach flavors in there. It’s not complex but it’s tasty and refreshing.

A pretty nice IPA, dark golden in appearance with a nice thick head. Decent hop character in the aroma and flavor. Grass and lemon balanced with a biscuit and bread body. Tried at the Green Room with the Aber’s and Dave in 2012.

Bottle @ home, sent by jcnielsen. Thanks Jetson! Pours a touch hazy, dark golden orange appearance with a nice, cream colored head. Somewhat fragrant floral, light citrusy hoppy, light potpourri, light caramel nose. Somewhat bitter, potpourri, slightly chewy, orange zesty flavor. Bleh.

Very aromatic hops...a mix of pine, floral, and citrus. Sweet maltiness is highly balanced with the hop bite. Citrus hops are mostly present and very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
