(Bottle) Pours black with a brown head. The aroma holds a well balance barrel profile with a good support from the cocoa and roasted malt. Quite fruity. Round nose with a touch firey alcohol. The flavour is medium sweet, medium bitter and tiny acidic. Chocolaty, fruity and balanced oak alongside roasted malt. The mouthfeel round and light tart with a light to medium carbonation. Medium to full bodied.

Bottle received in trade. Thank you bytemesis! Pours reddish black with a small dark chocolate brown head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with roasted malts, high quality dark chocolate, burnt raisins, caramel, vanilla fudge, salty soy sauce, sherry, roasted coconut, banana bread, sweetened coffee and hints of alcohol. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and malty with roasted malts, high quality dark chocolate, moist soil, charred wood, brown sugar sweetened dark roast coffee, raisins in rum, sherry, vanilla fudge, caramelized almonds, coconut milk, banana bread, cookie dough, hay and very subtle hints of iron. Mouthfeel is soft, velvety, round and near full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, high quality dark chocolate, charred wood, raisins in rum, vanilla fudge, coconut shavings, sherry and dark roast coffee. Complex, elegant and very tasty! Amazed that the rather intriguing barrel blend doesnít get messy.

Bottle to glass. Pours a deep black color with a thin rim of light brown head. Aroma is extraordinary, with lots of roasted malts, chocolate, dark fruits, and rum/brandy. Flavor a bit more on the roasted malts and dark fruits. Medium body with a lingering dark fruits and after dinner liqueurs. Wonderfully delicious!

Bottle generously shared by the Tampa Crew. Pours an imperial stout color with a tan head. Nose is rum-soaked raisins, roast, chocolate, oak, vanilla, bourbon, sweet chocolate, and a complexity from all of the spirit barrels involved in this blend. Flavor is similar with notes of all these spirits, rum-soaked raisins, chocolate, wood, and vanilla. Medium in body and very nice overall.

Bottle courtesy of Foppa - thank you, sir! Dark black pour - not super thick, but pretty thick. Tan head. Dark fruit, oak and a touch of bourbon in the nose. Taste is nice, thinner than expected. Lots going on here but nothing that overpowers - it is quite drinkable!

Bottle from trade. Pours black with a lingering brown head. Aromas of dark chocolate, raisins, vanilla, bourbon. Taste follows nose, dark chocolate covered bourbon soaked raisins. Dries out in the finish and gets a touch boozy.

Pours a dark black with a small head. Aromas of fruits, booze, and a stout with a warm sweetness as it goes down. A great beer but not what I was expecting.

~10 oz draft at the Martin City Brewing Company Pub in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is black with a touch of brown and a khaki small head. Nice lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is roast, soy along with some sweet brown sugar and dark chocolate. The taste is the roast, soy and sugar cane of the nose. Decent balance of flavors. The palate is medium to heavy bodied, mouth coating and a soy sweet finish. Solid made beer for a style that I am just not that into at the moment.

Acquired via trade with rpaskie...thanks Ryan! Biggest surprise in a beer since Cafe Royale rolled my eyes back. Pure chocolate indulgence in this one. Squid ink pour with a tightly packed mocha head. Brownie batter, fudge, dark fruit, oak, vanilla, sherry and bourbon, along with a touch of rum-soaked raisins. Really complex. Creamy and chewy. Delicious...NEED MORE!
