COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Old School Oktoberfest is a traditional amber lager brewed to celebrate the fall harvest. Extended aging creates a medium bodied beer with a smooth malty flavor and just the faintest touch of hops. Pull up your lederhosen, raise a stein, Ein Prosit!

Sent to me by Doran. Thanks. This beer poured a rich amber with an- off-white head. Nose of roasted malts and some light fruit. Citrus as well. Medium in body with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor is malts and light floral and citrus hops. Finish is malty. Good beer. Posting this to Ratebeer got me the Pi song.

12 oz. bottle via in-person STL trade. Pours a clear fall orange with a small off-white head. Notes of spice, leaves, mellow fruit, caramel, and grains. Light-medium bodied, with medium carbonation and a crisp, leafy mouthfeel. So-so Oktoberfest.

Not a bad oktoberfest, but nothing exceptional here either. Malty sweetness, lots of bread and caramel. Some honey.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grain with a bit of biscuit and bread underlying. Flavor has a good amount of grain that grows in sweetness and a touch of biscuit.

GABF 2012. Pours with a lightly golden colored body with a white head. Aromas are toasty, grainy, grassy, cornbread, clean. Flavors are malty and grainy with just a hint of fruitiness. Very clean. Lively carbonation with a medium-dry body.

Bottle. Spicy, malty aroma. Taste is similar, pretty watered down overall though. Spices aren’t strong enough, malts are bland. Cloying aftertaste. 5.5% alcohol.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with a nice white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and hops. Taste is similar. A nice take on the style.

The aroma of this beer is a standard blend of caramel and bread malts with dough yeast, and the appearance is a hazy orange color with a large white head. The taste is a nice blend but still underwhelming due to the mildly sour and touch sweet flavor, but the palate combines a medium body, average carbonation, slick texture, and a fairly abrupt finish.
