This hopped-up unfiltered wheat pays tribute to our founderís mothers, Sandy. The spirit and malt bill of a Belgian Witbier fused with the hop and soul of an American Pale Ale, with just a touch of grapefruit zest, make Sandy subtly complex yet refreshingly crisp.

Nothing super special. Not a lot of wheat, a little bit of citrus/nose, but bready/yeasty just like their other ales. It leave you with an underwhelming finish asking for something more

A hazy orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is dominated by citrus. The flavor is citrus, wheat, and yeast.

Just a poor combination and balance of ingredients. The wheat is weak. The grapefruit/citrusy zest and hops add a way-too-strong spicy aspect to the brew that should have been balanced by the wheat or some malt/sweetness. Perhaps a different hop style would work too.

Transparent gold pour. Light, crisp, and very unmemorable. I prefer slightly more carbonation. All that said, I enjoyed the beer and it is quite enjoyable for its price range.

Bottle; dull, light amber/copper color with a good sized white head. Aroma of spice, orange, wheat, and earthy citrus hops. While the aroma was more wit focused, a bit more hopping in the flavor. A fairly well crafted hybrid. Some good wheat balance with a hopping that does not overpower. Good

Bottle. Pours a clear hazy gold with a touch of orange and an off-white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a combination of wheat and sweet citrus and just a hint of bitterness. Flavor is similar with sweet wheat and sweet citrus throughout that is rounded out with a bit of bitter grapefruit.

12 oz. bottle via in-person STL trade. Pours a hazy, dull orange-yellow-gold color with a small, just barely off-white head. Aroma of orange citrus, wheat, lemongrass, straw, husky grain, and some soap. Flavor of orange peel, florals, wheat, fresh cut grass, herbs, and lemon. Light-medium bodied, with a citrusy mouthfeel and medium-high carbonation. They mention a Belgian witbier in the description, but this is a hoppy American wheat all the way. Good beer.
