Really pretty to look at - brilliant golden pour with a rich white head. Medium spotted lacing. Nose is earthy, umami, slightly spicy (smoked paprika, black pepper and fennel), while the taste matches with citrus and funky overtones. It tastes like springtime in many ways. A very nice, if unspectacular beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from russelcrow. Pours gold, slight white head. Spicy, sweet aroma. Taste is butter, sugar, pepper with a pineapple and earthy finish. Lots of clashing flavors.

Iíve yet to have great farmhouse from a basic 12 ounce bottle. Spring Batch didnít change that for me. While the flavors, feel, and aroma are relatively soft, smooth, and malty, I wanted more. With a style as diverse as the farmhouse ale, Spring Batch could have been much more spicy, fruity, yeasty, etc. While not offensive in the least, it could have been a lot better.

(Thanks Peter "russellcrow") Bottle. A- Beef jerky, hay. A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head. T- Beef jerky, meaty, yeasty, grains. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, funky finish. O- A very different saison than anything I have ever had. A lot of meaty flavors. Reminded me a lot of liquid jerky. It wasnít horrible, but it was different from anything I could have imagined.

Bottle - good size foamy head, medium gold color, fruity/lemony aroma and flavor, big hops for a saison, fair malt backbone, fairly dry finish, very good overall! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Hazy light amber with a off white head. Light saison with some pear and peach, light grain profile and mild citrus hops. High carbonation and moderate body, balanced with a slight farmhouse palate as it dries out. Tasty.

Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is plenty of farmhouse funk and white sugar. Flavor is even more of the yeasty funk with a citrus bite toward the end. Funky and fruity the way a good saison should be. Pretty good beer.

Bottle. Enjoyed straight from. Aroma is yeast, funky, Belgian fruit, and saisons grains. Flavor is sweet, fruity, funky, and the right amount of saisons weirdness. Not bad at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours golden brown. Lots of foamy white head. Very earthy, orange zest aroma. Slightly bitter, funky finish. Taste is slightly hoppy but fairly bland. Maybe I left this in the cellar too long. Will have to try and get a fresh one to compare.

Hazy, golden pour with a frothy, white head. The aroma is earthy with some interesting scents much like summer sausage and cheese (making me hungry). It has a light body with oily texture and average carbonation. The taste is slightly sweet with a dry finish.
