Not a fabulous farmhouse, but its pretty good. Standard citrus and floral aroma, lots of wheaty slick mouthfeel, and a bitter sharpness at the end.

Bottle at home in Salisbury. Pours totally clear yellow-gold with a large, lasting white froth. Plenty of saison yeast on the nose with notes of tangy lemon, straw, dried cereal, wheat. Light sweet flavor with lightly tangy lemon notes, hints of plastic, straw, dry grains, white bread, lemon rind, faint grass. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes with some lightly sweet, dried wheat bread, grains, fairly prominent saison yeast, bitter hay and grass. Very slight astringency, some lemon zest in the aftertaste. Drinkable enough.

Bottle from Keir, thanks man! Cloudy yellow pour with one finger of white light head. Aroma is citrus, light funk, and some mild sweetness, nice. Taste is light pepper, mild citrus with prickly carbonation, the finish is fairly dry with a bit of an slight dry bitter aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of light fruit and flora with some sweet grains and grass. Flavor is much lighter on the flora and fruit. It has more sweet grains and grass.

Really pretty to look at - brilliant golden pour with a rich white head. Medium spotted lacing. Nose is earthy, umami, slightly spicy (smoked paprika, black pepper and fennel), while the taste matches with citrus and funky overtones. It tastes like springtime in many ways. A very nice, if unspectacular beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Iíve yet to have great farmhouse from a basic 12 ounce bottle. Spring Batch didnít change that for me. While the flavors, feel, and aroma are relatively soft, smooth, and malty, I wanted more. With a style as diverse as the farmhouse ale, Spring Batch could have been much more spicy, fruity, yeasty, etc. While not offensive in the least, it could have been a lot better.

(Thanks Peter "russellcrow") Bottle. A- Beef jerky, hay. A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head. T- Beef jerky, meaty, yeasty, grains. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, funky finish. O- A very different saison than anything I have ever had. A lot of meaty flavors. Reminded me a lot of liquid jerky. It wasnít horrible, but it was different from anything I could have imagined.
