COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Three Blind Mice is inspired by our favorite qualities from English brown ales, German altbiers, and Irish reds. Motherís trio of beer connoisseurs sipped away many a night, working to find this ideal combination. Motherís beautiful brown beer is medium-bodied with caramel, toffee, and subtle chocolate malt flavorsóall balanced by moderate hop notes and a clean, dry finish. Three Blind Mice combines components of several malty beers for the unique brown beer experience youíve been missing. After lots of research to find the perfect styles for our base, the clear winners were the lighter body and caramel characters of Irish red ales, the soft chocolate and toffee flavors from English brown ales, and the hop component and balance of German altbiers. We used traditional elements from each beer style and added our own touch for one incredible brown beer.

12 oz. bottle to lager glass. Amber with small tan head that laces nicely. A little touch of coffee, with chocolate and malty aromas. Somewhat thin in the mouth, but taste is a balanced sweet with a subtle bitter finish. Leaves a nice aftertaste too. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised, a good beer from the land of the fundamentalists.

Bottle; dark muddy brown color. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and caramel. Some more sweetness and fruit in flavor. Some toffee, minerals and earth. Just ok

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber brown with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bread and dark grains with a hint of chocolate underlying. Flavor is mainly bread and grains with light notes of toffee and chocolate.

Good brown ale that reportedly has a blend of styles. Malty aromas that ranged from roasty to dark and nutty. Dark copper color with a foamy head. Smooth and full but also light feeling. Decent carbonation. Flavors leaned on the malty side with earthy and grainy layers. Roasted character complimented the slight bitterness. Good beer.

[Bottle] Brown in color with a fairly stout cap of tan head. Cocoa powder, brown sugar and toasted grains in the nose. Bready taste includes notes of chocolate, molasses, floral hops, toffee and rye. Better than expected body, with a nice creaminess to it. One of their better beers for sure. Tasting notes from 11/2011.

12oz. bottle. Aroma is dominated by toasty, bready, brown malt, with faint suggestions of caramel, milk chocolate, herbal hop and a touch of fruitiness from the yeast. Clear deep brown in color with a lasting, foamy, off-white head and copious amounts of lacing to match. Flavor profile is malty and toasty to start, seeing a touch of sweetness enter the picture and then surprisingly bitter (for the style), with a good bit of herbal, tea-like hop flavor and finishing dry and roasty, with faint coffee tinges late. Plenty of carbonation on the palate, with a slight mineral feel and a medium body. I get what they were going for here but it pretty much ends up being just another Brown.

Amber pour with an off-white head. The aroma has some toffee and nut notes. The flavor is more of the same with the toffee, caramel and nut notes really melding together nicely. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Good looking beer, rich chocolate brown with a light blonde head. Mellow nose, with a roasted grain flavor, slightly malty. Flavor is straightforward, and mouthfeel is terrific. Not exciting, but nothing wrong with it either. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Medium dark brown, dark ruby highlights a smattering of cream colored head. Smells of tea, toffee, roasted coffee. Tastes are similar, not a lot of flavor. An ok drinking beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear dark amber brown pour. Solid beige head with good retention. Decent lace. Aroma was a letdown. A little roast and a lot of grain. Taste makes up for it a bit. Nutty and roasty with little toffee hits. Had to really look for it, though. Medium bodied and easy drinking. Overall not too shabby.
