Marrying the best elements of traditional German golden ales and classic Midwestern wheats, this American Blonde lives up to Motherís expectations. Towhead is refreshingly light-bodied with flavor that wonít quit. It starts slightly sweet with hints of fruit and finishes with the faintest hop kiss thatíll leave you reaching for another. And another.

Towhead is Motherís little blonde baby. Weíve captured a subtle blend of sweet, fruity flavorsówell suited for close examination yet balanced enough to go down smooth, clean, and crisp when you just want something cold and tasty.

Pours medium light straw color. Perhaps a little darker than light lager normally is. Pretty thick head. Thick clinging lacing. Lots of rising bubbles. A little cloudy.

Aroma is much like sourdough. I also smell pine, and some lemon.

Taste isnít great. Lemon bitterness. Could be hops. Might be a little corn flakey. Itís not bad.

Mouthfeel is clean, quite dry. Maybe a little grainy. A little bitter. Not as drinkable as you might expect.

Overall I like it okay. Itís not as good as I had hoped. Itís a light tasting beer with good flavor. They succeeded there. But its not memorable. Despite the low score I could suggest you try it, but not necessarily recommend it.

Bottle. Pale yellow with minimal head. Over ripe banana, corn flakes, light sourdough and dandelions. Tastes dry and bready. Body is lighter with a fizzy feel.

Pretty boring lawn mower beer. Some sweet grain aromas and flavors.. Otherwise this is pretty boring.

Bottle at home in CT. Pours clear gold with a foamy white head. The aroma has basic pale malts, slight lemon notes. Light sweet flavor with sourdough bread, hay, faintly tangy lemon, pizza crust. Light in body with fine to average carbonation. Simple pale bread finish with low bitterness and more sourdough.

Aroma is a hint of wheat and some notes of citrus. Appearance is a clear golden hue. Taste is again some wheat with citrus and malts. Overall not a bad beer but not outstanding either.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma as a good amount bread and light grains with just a hint of grass. Flavor is lots of bread and grain. Really not too much here.

[Bottle] Light golden pour with a nice looking cap of foam on top. Faint grain and cracker notes in the nose. Dough, grass, mild citrus and more cracker in the taste. Light in body. Fairly basic, but there is nothing wrong with this beer. Tasting notes from 11/2011.

Do not pour this one. I got a definite metallic taste. Sipped from the bottle was better. Probably a good summer beer after mowing the lawn but dead of winter. Wonít be poring it down for digestion again.

12oz. bottle. Aroma of pale, crackery, lightly sweet malts, with notes of white bread, slight honey and very faintly floral, fruity hops. Mostly clear light-medium golden in color with a fine, lasting, white head. Flavor profile is predominantly malty, more honeyish tones and white bread to be found here, some mild yeast fruitiness and very light hop bitterness appearing towards the finish. Effervescent and light mouthfeel with a light-medium body. Honestly, this is exactly as advertised, just a run-of-the-mill American Blonde style, and in that aspect, it totally succeeds. Nothing exciting, nothing too flavorful and not breaking any new ground. Is it something I plan on buying at all? Not really. (This one was given to me.)

Appearance: very clear light gold color, pours with a very big white head that settles down into a dense head with good retention Aroma: very light grain, butter, lemon, bread, very faint Taste: first thought is reminds me of industrial lager, some corn tasting about it, very bland, possibly the slightest bit of hops on the finish Palate: high carbonation, light mouthfeel, corn aftertaste Overall: pretty disappointed in this brew, bland except for the corn flavor, it may not be made with corn but it tastes like it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
